The Savoy Hotel & Beach Club

Our room service was slow so they comped it. They had a fan for my husband who has COPD. They waived the resort fee. Everyone was super friendly.

Hospitality: Maggie and Denzel at the front desk are very friendly, kind and courteous. They are readily available and responsive to any questions or requests. Cleanliness: Room was serviced daily. Bed made neatly each time. Sometimes items were missed like replenishing washcloths or toilet paper. Food and Drink: I only ordered once because I was not overly impressed with the açai bowl or green juice. Both portion sizes were very small and not filling considering the high cost of each. Fitness Classes: Bootcamp 5/5: Highlight was Bootcamp with Nikki. Nikki is an excellent trainer - she balances being both firm and fun. I was the only person in the class so I was lucky to enjoy a 1-1 session with Nikki. I highly recommend her classes. IG: @nikkilove_fitness Yoga 1/5: Unfortunately the yoga class was terrible. It was hosted on the sand. Neither yoga mats nor Fiji water were provided as described. The instructor seemed disinterested and unprepared and encouraged mid-expert level movements like the crab and headstands on the sand which is dangerously. I flagged this at the front desk and it was confirmed that this instructor was a stand-in for the regular yoga instructor so hopefully this experience is not the usual standard. Location: Perfect for a first stop to South Beach Miami with east access to all nearby amenities. Loved the beach access and comfortable seating provided.

The pools were filthy, it’s not hard to get one of your workers to give it a good scrubbing or hire a pool company, it was almost too gross to get in. Property could use a little refreshing outside around the bar area & pools.

Biggest disappointment of our trip. Looking for luxury? Look elsewhere. Looks great online and the beach is good. But this hotel is NOT what it seems. Room was run down, air con as loud as a tractor (took video but can’t upload here), and room with upgraded courtyard view overlooked a dishevelled hotel under construction (rats and all!). We complained about the room - they offered a downgrade. They also ran out of towels for the beach and refused to offer us regular towels because it “might upset housekeeping” so we had no towels. If you are expecting a warm reception for the premium price of this hotel, go somewhere else. And if you complain, they’ll make you feel like a Karen.

When you come to Miami to stay in the beach and you reserve a nice room with two balconies, you expect to have a wonderful view. That’s why you chose that specific room. When we checked in we were told that no balconies can be accesses. All is is being painted and off limit is with scaffolding and nets. So essentially we had a room with no windows or balconies because men were working. That was very disappointing. Also the kitchen closed at 6:00om. Early than advertised.

Absolutely amazing hotel with great decor. Restaurant, Domingo, downstairs was an absolute hit!

Nice service

We did enjoy our time at the Savoy and will consider it in the future. Super cute, boutique, retro atmosphere and convenient to south beach entertainment BUT also tucked away that you don’t have to “deal” with south beach if desired. The staff was nice and accommodating. We checked in very early and were extended an invitation to use all pool and beach facilities. The property is under construction for renovations. We did know that prior to booking and we did not experience any inconveniences due to construction. Yes our patio was blocked with a screen and some construction items but it was entirely too hot to sit out there. Room was still light and spacious. The property will be fantastic when it is complete.

The pool was always dirty. And the hotel wasn’t even busy! Day after day the staff just left stuff in it, at one point there was a beer can in there that a staff member looked at and walked past.
