Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Miami

Read reviews!! Thought some were exaggerated but they were not… Read about the extra charges in reviews and they were right.. got an email stating total would be 380 and it was close to 40 or 50 extra with 5 random charges on my card that I had no clue what they were. Tried asking said it was taxes but didn’t see those amounts on any of my statements. Rooms do have a smell and moist feeling and looked as if black mold was forming on ceiling in bathroom, but rooms were clean from what I could see. I always check the beds and sheets and mattress, looked clean. TV remote didn’t work had to use buttons on TV. Did spot a few baby roaches the next morning in bathroom.

The WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. After traveling for 14 hours, I arrived at 11:45 pm, was exhausted from the day, it took 10 minutes for a desk clerk to come to the front desk to assist me, I had looked up the availability of the room on the Wyndam app and was told that the room would be $17 more + taxes, after explaining to the clerk that I could literally stand in the lobby and rent the same room for less money, he dropped the price only $11, and let me tell you people, this wasn't even the worst of the experience, he took my driver's license, took my credit card, never had me sign any room rental agreement, and proceeded to give me a room key. As I arrived at the room and opened the door, I was completely blasted by a stale stagnant, mildewy smell, as I proceeded to the bed, the sheets were literally STAINED, I smelled them to be sure they were even washed, smelled somewhat like clean sheets, then the air conditioner came on and was so noisy that I had to put ear plugs in to drown out the sound and shut it off as I needed to leave at 5 am, then I pulled the sheets back to find a paper thin bedsheet covering a disgusting mattress, WITHOUT a mattress protector and it smelled like awful body odor. Needless to say, I slept fully clothed on top of the bed and if it wouldn't have been my exhaustion I would have walked out. I cannot believe Wyndam would put their name on this hotel, it is absolutely disgraceful.

Ants got into our food, the toilet wasn’t completely bolted down, and they refused even a partial refund. “You should have told us right away and we would have switched you to a different room.” But you can’t switch rooms after spending the night, waking up, and checking out.

We gave it a try, but we’re not happy about several things. Creepy people hanging out the in parking lot forced us to make several trips back to the auto and bring our stuff in our room rather than risk it overnight in the car. That was a hassle. Did not plan on that. The lobby smelled like incense from the 1970s. Smells like that can bother me. Breakfast was bad. No eggs and 35 minutes after I told the desk lady they were out. A very odd “gravy” for the biscuits, took just one taste and I threw it out. Ran out of coffee. No milk available. It’s like they put zero time into that days breakfast and it showed. BTW, Once we got into the room that night the TV was a nightmare—took two controllers (one had dead batteries) and still didn’t get anything we wanted…….what a waste of OUR time. Terrible system.

Very nice property, pool is great, breakfast is so good with multiple varieties, room are clean , bed are comfy, WiFi also working good , I like the thing is non smoking property , music in lobby is creat very peacefull weather , Exterior is also cool with back patio space
