Tivoli Alvor Algarve - All Inclusive Resort

Beautiful hotel. Very large complex. Pool area for Adults only was great with sunbeds galore pool had sunbeds inthe water which were great. We had a ground floor room which had sunbeds so if you didn't want the pool you were still well catered for Main restaurant was hit and miss for breakfast sometimes food cool. Themed restauranrs were lovely especially the steak restaurant our waiter was Pedro Silva he was very friendly and attentive. Great shuttle service to Alvor running every half hour Overall a lovely relaxing holiday

Nice clean hotel, very friendly staff. We really appreciated the initial tour of the hotel, by buggy. Food started of strong (Portuguese night at the buffet, fantastic!) but became repetitive towards the end of the week. Only tried one a la carte restaurant (Roastic) and staff was friendly and atmosphere ok. However, the consept of the restaurants should be overseen so that they wouldn't serve the same stuff (mainly salad bar) every day&every restaurant. If you are traveling with kids of different ages, be avare you will most likely have to separate from each other. There is no actual kids pool, the water play area by the kids club has shallow water and is perfect for ages 1-7. This was a slight problem for us because only one of our four children fit in to that category, rest of the kids wanted to do actual swimming. The pools are adequate but nothing special. The adults pool is in the middle of the hotel grounds so where ever your room is situated, you will have to walk quite a bit (stressful with tired cranky kids), kids club is at the far corner. Evening entertainment was ok, we found the entertainers to be sympathetic and they really tried their hardest. Kids club was nice, my daughter liked it fine. All of our family liked the train-shuttle to town, this is definitely a big bonus. Also the bridge to the beach is nice, small kids will find it too long but we managed. My biggest annoyance was the amount of rules that nobody enforced. Reserving of sunloungers, eating by the pool etc. Why even set these rules up? Every guest was well behaved, guests seemed to come mainly from the UK and Portugal. Over all there was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the hotel and the town of Alvor. Not that much to see in the town but we knew that in advance and just soaked up the atmosphere. The biggest assets of this hotel are their staff, the shuttle to town and the waterpark tickets included in the price. Come here if you want a casual relaxing holiday with no big plans.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff go above and beyond. From the moment we checked in to our departure they were truly amazing. I have never seen people so happy at work. So much so they all join in with the entertainment crew for a daily dance session around the pool. The chefs are a credit, ensuring one of our party who is coeliac had gluten free pasta, crepes etc, nothing was too much trouble for them. Reception staff are fabulous, courteous and friendly. Restaurant and bar staff work their socks off and always friendly, pleasant and fun. The Italian and Steakhouse restaurants are a must to visit. All staff deserve praise and credit but Pedro Silva was excellent during 2 visits dealing with our requests from gluten free to fussy toddler diet 😀 Food, there is a vast choice and in my opinion will suit most, but there is always someone who will buck the trend 🙈. We never had any issues with breakfasts lunches or dinners. Wine is topped up constantly during meals. Great selection of drinks, nonalcoholic and alcoholic. Rooms are so clean, comfortable and well equipped. Just be mindful of the showers as water can be quite hot. Pools are immaculate. Train into Alvor is a great idea and the local breach is so beautiful and clean. We had an amazing 9 day stay as a family of mixed ages, would highly recommend. Had an excellent time in the Carosello restaurant within the Tivoli Alvor Hotel. Our host Felipe Cunha was very entertaining with his tricks and was very attentive throughout our meal. The food was good and we would thoroughly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

As a family of 2 adults and 4 children holidays can be stressful. airports, planes and transfers can all be very difficult before you land at your hotel, this is where the staff and the hotel should kick in to take all those worries away. The Tivoli Alvor is not perfect but it never claims to be, what it does give you is great staff, lovely rooms and good food, the food is like any other buffet style food we got in any other hotel of this type, small improvements could be made here. When we arrived we were taken for food straight away as it late and they didnt want us to miss our meal after that all our bags were taken to our room and we had a very chilled evening. Our room was very modern and clean and we couldnt complain about anything to do with it. Breakfast each morning was very good with fresh made to order pancakes and omelette , a full range of hot food, cereals , cold meats and breads. Pools and kids club were always very well looked after and the staff again could not have been any more helpful. We booked the steak and Italian restaurants on many occasions over our stay ,the food was very good and staff couldnt have done enough for us. The spa is brilliant my wife and i visited 6 times between us during our stay and we have to mention Tanya and Margarida as they were fantastic. We had booked for 2 weeks but we were enjoying the weather, alvor and the hotel so much we added another week. The hotel has a really good kids club, the tennis court and astro pitch were a great hit with our boys. The entertainment in the evening was Bingo, karaoke, Circus style shows and a outdoor fire show on the friday night, the mini disco was a big hit with our children each evening at 5.30. We had one or two small issues and staff and management really wanted to fix them issues and really went above and beyond. The guest relations team couldn't have done enough for us and the Manager on duty Jorge Vasconcelos is a absolute gent to deal with. A few other people to mention that made our stay extra special each day were Fellipe Sandes, Ezequiel Diaz,Rashedul Haque,Lukas Negrelli,Tina Costa and Rafael. We are in the lucky position that i can work away from the office so we have booked to return again on July 8th for 2 weeks, the reason why..... the weather has been shocking at home this year, Alvor is special, the hotel and staff are really good and we only get one shot at this life. We created some wonderful memories in the Tivoli Alvor and so many firsts with our children, its that type of place.
