Hotel Villa Condesa

We booked two rooms here for two stays while in Mexico. For 3 nights before we left for a side trip to Michoacan and for 3 nights when we returned. We requested two deluxe rooms on an upper floor at the back of the hotel (quieter) and were told that these had been reserved for us and that we would have the same rooms for both stays. When we arrived, we were given two very nice rooms, 11 and 12. 12 was larger, but 11 had a nicer balcony. We were pleased with both, as well as with the hotel overall. There are several areas to hang out and the breakfasts were very nice--plentiful food served in a lovely garden setting. When we left for Michoacan we confirmed that these would be the rooms we would be put in when we returned. However, when we returned we were told only one of them was available, room 11 and that we would be given room 7, which was at the front of the hotel and considerably smaller than the other rooms (with a very small bathroom). My friend who is in her late 70s was given this room and the bathtub/shower was less than optimal for an older person since water sprayed on the floor and made for a dangerous situation. She questioned whether this was really a deluxe room and the response was that all rooms are different and this one was on the smaller and less luxurious side. Apart from this one debaucle, this was a lovely stay and I would have given a 5 star review had our rooms not been switched. The location of the hotel was excellent, being close to many nice restaurants and the deskclerk was helpful in providing recommendations.

This boutique hotel located in the heart of Roma Norte Mexico City is fantastic! The staff are all super helpful and always willing to go above and beyond to help with any request. The room itself was amazing, bed was super comfy, AC unit kept it nice and cold, and we had a nice balcony that was very quiet. Cannot recommend Villa Condesa enough! Would definitely stay here again, especially considering the price.
