«+» I generally enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is located inside a historic building, but everything inside has been beautifully renovated. The hotel’s lobby is stunning! I loved its design, especially the small details like fun pictures on the walls, colorful sofas/chairs, and pretty lamps. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming, and I must also mention the professional housekeepers who did a great job keeping my room and the entire hotel spotless. I stayed in Room #203 on the second floor, and I loved it a lot. The room was huge, almost like a 1-bedroom apartment, with a hallway, a living room, a bedroom, and a toilet. My room’s design was gorgeous, just like the hotel lobby. I believe the room was recently renovated because I could still smell fresh wood and paint. All the furniture was in excellent condition. The bedroom was separated by a door with its own key, and there was a little closet section in the bedroom as well. The King-size bed was incredibly comfortable, I slept like a baby! The mattress, pillows, and blanket were soft and luxurious. The living room area had a cozy sofa and chairs, making it a perfect spot to hang out and relax. The hallway section of my room had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, which were a big plus. My room was also quiet, and I felt completely chilled and relaxed throughout my stay. Another highlight was the hotel’s location in La Condesa - a beautiful, clean, and safe area of Mexico City. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants near the hotel. An additional perk was that the hotel allowed me to check out at 2 p.m. with no extra charge. As for the nightly rate, I paid $77, which I found reasonable. My apartment-sized, beautifully renovated room was totally worth it! «-» The biggest downside of my stay was the very small bathroom. The shower stall was tiny and uncomfortable, it barely fit me. Worse, the shower stall was broken. The doors didn’t close properly, water leaked through gaps, and half of the bathroom floor was flooded after every shower. The shower head was old and broken, spraying water unevenly everywhere. The faucet handles didn’t work properly either, making it impossible to set a steady warm water temperature. The water was either too hot or cold, which was incredibly frustrating. The sink faucet had the similar issues - low water pressure and difficulty getting a warm temperature. On top of that, the sink faucet was old and outdated as well. The bathroom amenities were of poor quality, felt cheap, and smelled bad. The hairdryer was small and outdated. The bathroom overall was a disaster and desperately needs a complete update and repair as soon as possible! Another issue with the room was that the windows couldn’t be opened - they were glued shut. They were also made of colorful mosaic glass, so it was impossible to see outside. As a result, there was no natural daylight in the room, and I had to keep the lights on all the time. Unfortunately, the room’s ligh

No windows in the room to the outside, just to a shaft. Very small bathroom. No elevator. 20 steps to go to the 2nd floor room carrying a suitcase. Very noisy . No cable tv. Safe does not close. Very warm temperature in the room, fan is small, noisy and on the floor, it does not help. We have spent one night and have to pay for the whole stay of eight nights. I am claustrophobic and can not be in a room with no windows, I had a very troubled night

Worth 2,000 euro cash was stolen in the lining of our luggage that was hidden while the cleaner was cleaning our room and we were out the whole day and when we got back to the hotel they SAID power/electricity is gone and it will be back an hr so we went for dinner and 1 he after they said they don't know when the electricity will be back so a manager told us that we will take you to the other hotel, so you can pack your things and someone will assist you. We noticed that when we were packing our bags in peach black that there were lights in other parts of the hotel like the hallways, etc. We assumed it was just our room, looking back at it now we just realized it was all a SET UP between hotel staff & the maid. Please keep in mind that this hotel is small. Hence how they were able to do this. When they transferred us to the other hotel we notice the next morning that our money was missing from where it was hidden. We did not leave this hotel room not til we found out that the money was missing. So we went to the hotel & told them what happened but of course they denied it & said our room was not clean the entire stay which was a complete lie as it was clean the day we went out & the DAY our money was stolen. The manager & hotel staff did not want to hear anything about it & should have not left money in the bag. We have checked on the other reviews and seen that there was other cases of theft. We also said this to the manager & he just said " Ok we know" and he admitted that the cleaner is stealing money but he just said "if you leave money in your bag, it's there to be taken". Not only did they steal our money, but they never gave back the 2,000 MXN pesos/$100 deposit back that you must pay when you check in, which was a total SCAM. Also very loud music at night time, couldn't sleep at all. Please bycott this hotel, this is a total joke. We just dont want this to happen to anyone else. We traveled most of the world poor & rich countries and this has never happened to us

My wife, who was born and raised in Mexico City, and I came to visit and go to some of our favorite restaurants. We booked a 3 night stay, but missed the first night due to our flight canceling. We arrived on what was supposed to be our second night and were struck immediately by how tiny the room was. Even by European standards. The bed was advertised to be a queen size, but was actually a full size, and the room was like a sauna with no air conditioning or even a ceiling fan. We were unable to open the window. The shower door is constructed in such a way that made it impossible to turn the shower on without getting sprayed with cold water as the shower head comes out of the ceiling and there is absolutely no counter space in the bathroom. There is a tiny armoir/closet which might have been 2 feet wide with a couple of hangers but was mostly unusable due to shelving which stored the coffee maker and the safe. My wife wanted to hang a couple of dresses, but the lower half ended up bunched up over the coffee maker. To their credit, they moved us to a different room with a king size bed after we complained, but the room was just as tiny and all the other conditions mentioned previously still existed. The only window in this room opened into the hotel lobby. The noise during the night from staff made sleep difficult but they did bring us a fan, which blew the hot air around the room for us. It did create enough white noise that allowed sleep. The next morning my wife told them we wanted a refund for our last night, and they told us they had a sister property which was bigger a few blocks away, but after viewing this property, it was apparent the second property was identical to the first. Long story short, they refused to give us a refund and we ended up at another hotel. We will never stay at this place or any of its affiliated properties again. Truly a horrible experience.
