Wonderful little boutique bed and breakfast. We had none of the problems of other reviewers. The door to our room was a little finicky but was fixed as soon as we mentioned it. Don't expect a hotel experience. But if you want a super-quiet place to rest after a night tasting mescal or eating the wonderful food of the city, this is the place. The breakfast was fresh and wonderful. Great coffee, fresh pastries (no waiting for a 1/2 hour at Panderia Rosetta!) with fresh eggs served as you like it, or avocado toast -- really a wonderful place, unlike any other I've ever visited.

This place is a total and utter ripoff. The rooms are tired and there are major safety issues as others have noted. There is no bathroom in the common areas, no trashcans in any common spaces, no numbers to call for emergencies, noone at check-in, no document laying out information and if you have safety issues there is noone to contact. There are old locks and keys, no information on how to use the safe, etc. The blankets on the beds were stained, the tiles in the shower were off, a slipping hazard, the locks on the safe had no codes. If you want to leave they'll charge you anyway so you are screwed either way. The management and owners are glorified cronies. This place is dirty, barren, unsafe and a complete public health concern and a price that is outrageous. Look elsewhere.

My 24 hour stay at Casa9 was the stuff of nightmares honestly. Over the last 8 years, Mexico City has been my family's favorite vacation destination. We have stayed with 6 different hotels in Mexico City in that time, and Casa9 is the first time we have ever had a negative experience. Unfortunately this one was beyond negative! The problems started as soon as we arrived almost as soon as we arrived at the location as the code for the front door lock was super finicky. As a result, anytime we wanted to go in or out we had to wait between 15-30 minutes for someone to come on site to let us in. They advertise that they have 24-hour concierge service, but this is false advertising as there is 90% of the day nobody on site to support. When we stayed, there was nobody else at the location which made the huge space feel very spooky and like a ghost town. I'm sure it would be much nicer and less weird if other groups were staying in the space. Once we got to our room, we ready to move past the front door/lack of concierge/staff on site to try to enjoy our stay. So we moved into our room and decided to shower...only problem is the shower didn't work. The water wouldn't drain so there was this standing pool of gross water from previous stays that wouldn't drain. In my life I don't think I've ever cancelled a visit mid-stay, but after our first 24 hours and the lack of resolution to any of our complaints we decided we had no choice but to leave. We made our dissatisfaction to the hotel clear, and instead of trying to do right by us they kept talking about their cancellation policy and saying that there is nothing they can do. I got the impression they were happy to charge the cancellation fee and have us leave because at no point did they showed that they cared about us enjoying our stay. This really feels like one of those places that creates deceptive policies like their bogus cancellation fee and survives off these policies as opposed to providing a truly quality service. Newsflash - it's not a cancellation if you arrive at the location and cannot enjoy the space and therefore are forced to leave and spend more money to find a different hotel with a working front door/shower and a staff that cares about making the visit enjoyable for you and your family. The sad reality is that I have 100% confidence that if you stay here, and you encounter an issue, they will do absolutely nothing to make the situation right. So, if you do decide to stay here, I hope nothing goes wrong! Last point - the pictures on their website and phrases like "luxury" are truly deceiving in my opinion. The vibe is more like a youth hostel and less like a luxury boutique hotel.

Unfortunately, I feel obligated to share our negative experience. The shower did not work and casa9 was not able to fix (the only "solution" we were offered was another room that did not have a lock on the door). We had to switch hotels yet casa9 will not refund us for our reservation.

Pretty good. Great location. Cool design. Nice to have a good breakfast included. The pillows ******. Only 4 rooms, so that’s nice. Don’t sign up for their “experiences” as they are WAY overpriced. Sure are a lot of extra taxes on the final bill.

This is a beautifully decorated property that makes you feel like you are at the home you would like to have in Condesa, Mexico City.

The place is absolutely gorgeous. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is perfect choice of fresh baked croissants followed by a choice of fruit, eggs, granola. All very high quality. A lovely little hideaway in Mexico City.

Stunningly beautiful with excellent service. Maunao and his crew provided a wonderful daily breakfast and excellent service. Their morning coffee is delicious! The rooms are spacious and quite. Each of the four rooms opens to a patio or balcony. Their is an "honor bar" with booze for your end-of-day drink before dinner. A great experience. Cons: There are a lot of stairs, most without railings. For mobility impaired gusts, book the "Mateo" room. It requires the fewest stairs to reach. Also, an almost insignificant criticism, but the tiny ice machine at the honor bar is not up to snuff!
