I recently stayed at the Sheraton Maria Isabel in Mexico City, and overall, it was a good experience. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location—it’s right on Reforma Avenue, next to the U.S. Embassy, so it felt very safe even though there were some peaceful demonstrations happening nearby related to rent increases and the current situation in Mexico.
The room was spacious and comfortable, but it did feel a bit old and outdated. The bathroom floor had some cracks, which wasn’t a big issue but worth mentioning. It could definitely use some renovation in the future.
On the bright side, the breakfast was really nice. Good variety, fresh options, and great service.
If you care about being in a central, secure area with decent amenities, this hotel is a solid choice—just don’t expect a modern, freshly renovated space.

The road outside the building is under construction and is completely blocked. No car can reach it. For airport pick-up and daily travel, you can only walk to the square (across the road). Due to the road problem, the Uber driver was angry with me, which lowered my Uber passenger rating, but I am just a tourist 😦
In addition, the hotel is really too old, and some facilities are incomprehensible. The quilt has no quilt cover (not even the North American sandwich folding method), the bathtub color is very suspicious, and the minibar is locked, resulting in no refrigerator in the room. There is no suitable place to get water (although there is a supermarket downstairs).
It is recommended that the hotel be renovated as soon as possible.
