Went there for our 50th wedding anniversary stayed in room 1002. The worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The room was damp and dark. View from the balcony was straight through a broken door to a very soiled toilet used by staff. The sea view was different to any other room in the hotel The room was subterranean and horrible. Could have made things ever so slightly better but they had no Prosecco. Tui will not respond to our complaint. after 7 weeks

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the years. We booked this holiday over 18 months ago. When I looked at the reviews I was shocked and went with some reservations. However I was very surprised to find that it was just as lovely as before. With regard to the food I didn't experience any cold food and was authentic Italian fayre. I don't wish to come to Italy and sample chicken nuggets. Pasta was excellent and in the evening the show cooking was delicious and certainly not cold. We had on our first stay in September a spacious spotless room with a fabulous view. Second time a week ago had a room on 2nd floor which was of the same standard. The staff in all departments make this hotel as so kind and friendly. As far the bar staff we stayed in a 5 star hilton hotel where there was only 1 person behind the lounge bar and 1 in the other bar. Every day or night no waiter service and if you wanted cocktails it took ages. Ww don't always want waiter service but found when we went to the bar they would always offer to bring it over to your table or find you in the dining area. Prosecco and wine were excellent and no problems Getting bottles something you don't always get in other hotels we have stayed in all over the world. Som people have compared this hotel and italy to gran canaria and Turkey. If this is the holiday you want then do not choose this hotel. Yes it needs a bit of TLC which they are working on. We have . stayed in other hotels in sorrento that you will pay the same for just bed and breakfast . As for location there are a few restaurants near the hotel and in the town of meta. There is an excellent train service and local bus here. So getting about is easy. We did our own trips as tui were too expensive and we had the freedom to do what we wanted. Would like to say a special thank you to Francesco Di capa and all his staff in the restaurant who made our dining experience a pleasure. Also the hard working bar staff . Alessa Verdoliva Alberto palumbo raffaele ****** tobia exposito. Plus all reception staff and housekeeping. Had an amazing holiday both September and October and will definitely be back in the future

The hotel was grand at one time dated and run down now, It is NOT suitable for the elderly or anyone with a mobility issue, although there is gradual access to the pool there is no hand rail to help you in and out, the access to the pebble beach is down a long rusty metal staircase with the last step onto the beach almost 2 foot in height. There are also no toilets on restaurant/pool level you have to use the ones downstairs near the Spa which is closed or go up to third floor either that or back to your room. there was no shower available prior to entering or exiting the pool however there was a very dirty foot bath you could walk through. We have stayed in many TUI four star hotels where the food was excellent often with a chef at breakfast offering to cook eggs to your requirements or making an omlett, Not at this hotel the food was dreadful no better than what you would get in a 2 or 3 star, pasta dishes were cold choice often consisted of some form of rice or basic food such as burger and chips, chicken nuggets, fishfingers, hot dogs ok for children although there was only one child during our stay and he would not eat anything ! we ate out on several occasions where we found several other people from the hotel. Breakfast was not much better where your choice of eggs was scrambled or hard boiled. Please also note the hotel is very remote although there is a courtesy bus into Sorento you have to book it the day before, a taxi would cost you 50 Euro each way. On complaining to the rep about the food I was informed that the hotel used to be half board and the quality of food then was much better but since it became All Inclusive the standard had gone right down. The staff however were wonderful.

We stayed here last year around the same time. We loved the area so much and the hotel. We were disappointed at how the choice of food changed around the third day of our stay. A lot of drinks were out of stock and the choice of food became much less. Despite this we decided to come back this year and loved the new swimming pool that had been installed since last year and the work done to the whole outdoor area. We were very disappointed with the room we were allocated this year despite upgrading to a sea view room the one we were in you could only see the sea if you went out to the balcony which was very small and right in a corner so not a fantastic view. This year was all inclusive however it was very evident that all the drinks apart from wine and beer had been watered down including soft drinks which were flat and had no flavour. Even the fruit juice was watery. The first two nights the food was lovely with lots of choice and after that it became smaller each night with only one dessert to choose from. The salad consisted of just lettuce and the staff were constantly watching you eat so they could remove plates asap. They were even dishing up food onto your plate instead of you helping yourself. The dining room was an uncomfortable experience. On the last day at breakfast my partner had a boiled egg which was completely raw. The scrambled egg was partly uncooked also. On the Saturday night there was an outside private party and I felt we were rushed in to dinner and out ASAP. After looking forward so much to returning here this October we were actually quite disappointed.
