So let me preface this by saying, I don't stay at 2 star hotels...it's not arrogant to say, I just prefer a little more modernity and comfort. Well I had a lengthy week long stay at this hotel to save about $25-$30 a night.....and for a 2 star hotel that welcomes truckers and hard working blue collar dudes, I'd say it's not too bad. The building is old (25 years old is old? It feels older) and I think the Indian family that runs it must've purchased it after the previous owner probably did little to update it. Looks like they updated the floors in the main room which are nice (but they were strangely "sticky" (as were counters, doors and walls).....But they are sort of trying to do their best to keep the hotel up which i give them credit for. They are customer service orientated. But when I cleaned the floors with disinfectant wipes-i found lots of hairs, dirt, and more...wasn't pretty. Problems other people mentioned, like the old-fashioned DirectTV where the TV goes in and out based on the satellite reception (even on a clear night) were an annoyance. Bottom line: if i'm comparing this to a Super 8, Motel 6, Days Inn, etc. which feels about right for a 2 star hotel, then yes! This is a decent hotel and I'd rate it as a 4. But when I compare it to a 2.5 star hotel like a Fairfield, Hampton, etc....then this is a 2.5-3...
