Location from the interstate, good. Very clean rooms. Room doors were impressive; very secure and hallway sound was nonexistent. Typical simple breakfast. The staff was the best. Very friendly and made you feel welcome. Loved Annette! At breakfast made sure our needs and wants were taken care of. Not only that, got a big hug. Awesome lady/employee! Usually don't do reviews. This is a nice place to stay.

Very comfortable stay. Rooms are clean with modern design. Includes breakfast, which is pretty standard but nice. Close to shopping and restaurants. Close to the highway. A convenient and nice play to stay. There is a pool and fitness center.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. My room was clean along with the hotel. My only complaint was some of my neighbors on my floor. The room doors are extremely heavy. They make a very load noise if you don't close it gently.

If you are needing a hotel in the Merrillville, Indiana area I highly recommend Tru by Hilton. The hotel has a clean fresh vibe but more importantly the staff are outstanding. Annette, who heads up hospitality, goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and at home. My husband and I had a delightful 4 night stay while visiting family and we will definitely stay there again! June, 2025

The usual excellent room and service that I have come to expect from Hilton. The room was ready, clean, with plenty of non-allergenic pillows, and all aspects of the bathroom functioned well.

The hotel was clean. The bed slept great and a huge plus for the varying pillow types. The star of the stay, however, was the breakfast attendant, Annette.. She is SUPER friendly, energetic and helpful. She put a smile on everyone’s face. We need more people like her! This location has a gem and I hope they know it. She went above and beyond to help and greet people. I’ve NEVER experienced this before. I don’t visit this area often, but when I do, I will most likely stay here because of her.

Clean and well-run hotel. No issues in check-in or check out. Location near the Southlake Mall. Fairly new property. Typical Tru, with grocery store in the lobby and a few microwaves for those who eat frozen dinners. Clean room and shower. I was not bothered by road noise, even though it seems close the I65. Bed was good, slept well. Breakfast was typical Hilton, adequate. Staff was very friendly, if not over the top. Many corny sayings on the walls and encouraging words. Breakfast attendant wanted to hug me, big Good Mornings, and how are you. Smiles all around. I generally want a quiet breakfast, or at least subdued. I appreciate the energy of the staff and not critical. Perhaps a little less volume. I will stay here again. Recommended.
