Great little hotel in Merida. Well located, a little walk from the plaza Grande.
Leo the owner, is welcoming and very accomodating. He generously gives you tips on activities and restaurants.
The place itself is nice, well decorated. My room was of regular size, with a nice shower. It was very clean and quiet, as it was quite far from the street. AC was working very well, WIFI was good too. You can start your day with a nice coffee made by the owner, and a croissant or some sort of viennoiserie.
Of course it is not a 4 stars hotel, so don't expect the look or services of a 4 stars hotel. But if the price is in your range, you cannot go wrong with La Piazetta.

Petit hôtel très bien tenu, très tranquille, en plein coeur de Mérida. Léo, le propriétaire de l'établissement, français expatrié au Mexique, est d'un dévouement exceptionnel. il connait parfaitement Mérida et n'hésite pas à partager les conseils les plus utiles pour tous les gouts et tous les moyens. We stayed here in April 2023! It's been a year, and I'm still thinking about this great experience we had at the Piazzetta! The welcome was wonderful! All the staff were absolutely wonderful! The boss organized excursions for us with guides who were just as kind and helpful as he was! He took great care of my 4 & 6 year old boys. We all shed a little tear when we left the place... I can only recommend this place 200%! I will come back one day!!!

I had a wonderful 8-day visit to Merida thanks in large part to my decision to stay at Hotel La Piazzetta. I had a spotlessly clean and very quiet garden room--with an extremely comfortable bed, soft sheets, and blackout curtains, I slept better than I have in ages. The upstairs garden, ground floor patio, and breakfast/bar/lobby area were serene spots to read, relax, and simply decompress after a full day of activity. What makes this hotel especially special are the owners, Leo and Maria, and staff, who were all consistently kind, friendly, helpful, and patient with my poor Spanish skills. Leo is the consummate host--gracious and welcoming, offering personalized recommendations for enjoying the city and remembering exactly how his guests like their morning coffee. As they say, the devil is in the details! Highly recommended!

We arrived in the evening around 7 p.m. We were given a very friendly welcome, the boss and owner explained everything about Merida in great detail and gave great tips! The hotel has a nice courtyard, is in a quiet location and the rooms are equipped with everything you need, including a hairdryer! Daily room service. You get a coffee and snack for breakfast. Thanks to the bar you can take a nightcap back to your room.
