Overall, it was a great stay at Kuka y Naranjo - such a cosy and charming place that's well located. The staff/ service was very good - friendly, helpful, accommodating and always with a smile. Hotel rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. Just a minor suggestion to provide/ install bidets in the toilet for washing up since we can't flush toilet paper as there is no proper sewage plumbing in downtown Merida. We enjoyed the breakfast too, it had a very home-cooked vibe. And they have a cafe too that sells kombucha and vegan food (when it gets too hot to go out in the afternoon!) Overall, I would recommend this hotel when visiting Merida!

After advice from a traveler on TripAdvisor, we specified, when booking, that we did not want the room under the stairs. Obviously, this is the one that was waiting for us... We point this out, bad faith on the part of the receptionist who shows us a second bedroom under the stairs... while assuring us that ours is very good... Smell of moldy, stained sheets, worn pillowcases.... Pseudo bohemian decor but service not up to par: lunch is literally catastrophic; no choice of tea (they bring you 3 bags in your hand, absence of dishes on the menu which we forget to tell you when you arrive, eggs too salty. There is only one positive point: parking for the car and close to the hypercenter Do not fall like us into the trap of photos which do not reflect the condition of the rooms and the total lack of hospitality of the address.

We only stayed one night in this B&B, but it was enough to get a great impression. The accommodation is highly recommended. The whole hotel and the rooms are beautifully decorated and the garden is also really great. All the staff were very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. All in all, highly recommended!

Charming and small hotel in Merida. The rooms are al different. Many if not all have a Hammock as well as beds for you to laze and have a siesta. Hotel has a small Vegan / Vegetarian restaurant attached to it so it not a B&B. Hotel is very clean and quaint. The nest part is the super helpful staff led by the Hotel Manager Ms Valerie. She is really welcoming and helpful and that culture is there with all staff. They dont have a Tea kettle in the room but have a Hot and Cold water machine at reception and they provide a flask so you can take as much water as you want. The breakfast is really nice.

Great location 10 minutes from the main square with private parking 20m closed in the evening Very nice, spacious and nicely decorated room. Access to the upper terrace. Small cenote on the ground floor. Haven of peace and greenery in the middle of the traffic of Merida Great and varied breakfast but you shouldn't be in too much of a hurry Bedding a little soft as far as we are concerned

I gave two balls to this hotel because I noticed the staff's commitment to doing a decent job of welcoming. Located in a depressed (and depressing) part of the city of Merida, which is only lively in the area between the cathedral and Santa Lucia, it is a small hotel with few merits. Spartan rooms (1 bedside table and a lamp in a double room, only cold shower/sink water, worn - but scented - sheets, marbled bedspread with historic stains...). What, however, really makes you lose your mind is the carelessness with which the small garden is maintained where plastic boxes reign and the rubbish bins and the composter are next to the "swimming pool" (a pool of water where the more intrepid can to dive). If you want to maintain a good mood, go elsewhere

The hotel itself, especially the common areas, are really nice and tastefully decorated. Breakfast more than satisfactory. The staff is smiling like the Mexicans. On arrival you will be entitled to a super good organic drink. In terms of location, it is ideally located 15 minutes from the city center on foot. Free parking next to the hotel. Restaurant in the hotel if you don't want to move in the evening. Now let's talk about our room... I think to sum it up we were unlucky... We had the room under the stairs which had a window overlooking the corridor and another overlooking the terrace next to the pool. It reminded me of a converted storage room…. The room is simply decorated, the bed is very small and it smells a little damp. It's dark and you feel a little cramped. In summary we were disappointed... Having passed other rooms, there are much prettier ones with hammocks and larger space. So be careful when booking.

Of the six hotels we stayed in during our trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, this was by far the best (and cheapest!). Very careful decor, down to the smallest details. I loved the hammock in the room. The breakfast is very good (especially the waffles!). FYI: the laundry service is inexpensive and efficient and parking is right next to the hotel. 10 minutes walk from Plaza Grande, heart of Mérida.

Stay 2 nights as part of a self-drive tour in the Yucatan as a couple (sixty-year-olds); central hotel in the historic part, original due to its decoration and configuration; breakfast good and with choice However, evaluate whether MERIDA really deserves a stopover in your busy city circuit and noisy traffic, see what your expectations are. Friendly welcome
