Paloma Pasha

We had a wonderful week at this stunning hotel, plenty of sunbeds, food was amazing, so much choice for vegans and vegetarians, I'm vegetarian and there was so much choice, I didn't have one bad meal, it was all delicious. The staff are amazing especially Cihan, Firatz, Mahammet, mizhat and Orchid but all the staff are so lovely. Everywhere is spotless, cleaners do an amazing job. The hotel and surrounding gardens are just beautiful. Entertainment is great, there's always something going on if you want to join in. The pool is massive and pretty much wraps around the whole hotel, so much room to swim and it was never crowded. Private beach too which is nicely spaced out. My mum and I had the best week ever and loved every minute. I also loved the cats, which the hotel look after well. Overall we found the hotel to be grand and inviting. When we first arrived, we were really impressed by the lobby and were very pleased with our room. The views are amazing! On closer inspection there were some maintenance issues such as public toilet doors not locking, and cat poo in the children's play area. Simple things that could be sorted out. Generally the staff were friendly and helpful, although a little too familiar with our 2 year old who was approached constantly throughout meal times by male staff wanting to touch her, interact with her etc. It was nice of them to be so friendly but it was a bit too much. The outside pool's looked amazing and inviting but as they weren't heated, we couldn't use them as they were absolutely freezing! We hoped that the indoor pool would make up for this but this was also cold and our baby's lips went blue every time we went in there. We asked on a number of occasions for the temperature to be turned up but nothing changed. The food was good and there was big variety of choice at the buffet. Our advise would be to book the individual restaurants up quickly though because they have limited availability and are only open on certain days, so we only got to go to 2 of them. One of our biggest issues was the public smoking everywhere around the hotel. This was particularly bad on the sun loungers and the outside bars, where guests and staff smoked. We witnessed staff gathered together smoking, rather than being at the bar and then throwing their cigarette butts into the sea. We were not happy to see this at all. There was no signage to tell guests not to smoke in public areas, but ashtrays that encouraged it. It had a big impact on our enjoyment of the evening entertainment. There's not alot to do in the local area, the closest place to visit is a 45 minute taxi drive to Kusadasi for some shopping. So be prepared to spend most of your time at the hotel using their facilities. Overall, the hotel was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our days on the beach, which was beautiful.

We’ve just returned home from a 1 week, all inclusive stay at the the Paloma Pasha Hotel in Turkey, and felt this hotel needed an honest review. The stay was fair. It wasn’t fantastic, but equally wasn’t disastrous. Upon arrival, the hotel seemed very impressive and luxurious. However on closer inspection the hotel is actually quite run down and needs some TLC to bring it up to standard. The downstairs toilet area and shower drain in our room, smelt of sewers for the entirety of the stay. The food wasn’t great. There was a real lack of variety and for someone who will eat most things, I found myself skipping meals as there was just nothing that I wanted to eat there. We paid extra for the all inclusive plus option, however believe this to be a massive con. Every guest had exactly the same colour wrist bands and nowhere in the hotel did it outline what the “plus” guests would be entitled to compared to the regular paying guests. Whilst the staff were very friendly, they also smoked behind the bars and seemed completely disinterested in hosting at the kids club. One member of staff sat on her phone for the majority of a session. When the smoking issues were mentioned in a survey to the hotel, it was responded that “all public areas were non-smoking”, however our experience was that ashtrays were provided in all communal areas and smoking was freely encouraged. There are lots of cats in and around the hotel which was fine, however the kids club area often smelt strongly of cat poo and there was even cat poo littered about the play area (see photos) - which is HIGHLY unacceptable. The daytime and evening entertainment was a bit lack lustre, with hardly anything put on. This was a big problem for us, as there wasn’t much in the local area to do and we’d specifically chosen this hotel as a good amount of entertainment was advertised. The outdoor pool was freezing - expected for the time of year of our visit. However the inside pools were equally as cold. So much so that the baby pool caused our toddlers lips to turn blue within a couple of minutes of being in there as she was so cold. The toilets in the public areas were disgusting and not cleaned anywhere near enough. Half of them didn’t have lights on, so we were expected to use in the dark, the others had doors that didn’t lock or close properly. It really wasn’t ideal having to go back to my room each time I wanted to use the toilet, simply because I’d rather do that than use the dirty toilets. The games room was dilapidated and bare. All in a we found more negatives than positives with this hotel. It absolutely shouldn’t be rated or advertised as a 5 star, when a 3 star is better suited. I would highly recommend anyone considering this hotel to read previous reviews on it, especially if you have young children.

Lovely hotel but unfortunately really disappointed with the pools. The outdoors pools are freezing - which is to be expected for this time of year. However the inside pool is equally cold. Our poor 2 year old hated her swimming experience (which is completely unlike her, as she’s usually a water baby) as she just spent the whole time really cold and not wanting to swim. Such a shame as that was a big reason for booking this hotel this time of year - a heated indoor swimming pool.
