Travelodge Melksham

The hotel is very convenient for Bath, Longleat etc. and the surrounding roads are good. We checked in very easily, parking is convenient and free, and we were welcomed at reception. Our rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and all necessities supplied such as tea-making and several towels. I especially liked that the beds are not too soft, that there are showers in the bath, the windows open (safely) and there is air-conditioning/heating if required. Snack bars etc are supplied as breakfast. I took my own to be sure of avoiding dairy and wheat, but Greggs and a small restaurant are in the carpark.

Melksham hotel is on the whole a lovely place. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner (hair in bottom of shower tray). Close to where I needed to be. Having had to call hotel I didn't realise calls would cost so much. I won't use 0870 numbers again. 2 calls cost nearly £7 for a few minutes each.

Not properly maintained Bed very hard No kettle No soap or shower gel in dispenser Apart from that the hotel was and ideally placed for what wanted. Price was a little high for what we had

A great room, A/C worked properly, bed was comfortable, free tea and coffee, a really good shower. Well pleased. Travelodge is my first choice, great value for money.

avoid a room at the back of the hotel...it overlooks a furniture factory that works night and day...constant noise from blowers or fans in the yard and at 4.30 - 5.00am, the articulated trucks all start up and move off....coupled with the noise of forklifts loading them and sounding their horns as they manouvre about n the yard. the air conditioning in our room made a constant loud rattling noise and didnt seem to work, so we had to turn it off....as it was so warm, we had no choice but to open a window...result....no sleep.......SO IF YOU DO STAY HERE MAKE SURE YOU GET A ROOM AT THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL......

You always get what you expect, only this time the bathroom was so very small. The fact that TL have stopped putting bathmats in the bathrooms means that one has wet feet to walk to the bedroom, so carpets willl rot. There is only one hand towel too so using that is no good or you can't dry your hair, that said when one is done the other one has a wet handtowel and floor. We ar booked again for differrent location this weelkend so wil lsee what that is like.
