As soon as I opened the door, the smell of wood in the room was indescribable and strong. There were no disposable slippers, toothbrushes, toiletries, etc. The quilt was a pilling blanket, which was scratchy when covered. The air conditioner was blowing towards people. It was hot when it was not on, and cold when it was on. There was a waste collector outside, which made a loud noise on time every morning.
Pros: Convenient check-in
Seeing that the Mazu Temple was upstairs from this hotel, I thought it would be "cleaner" and decided to stay without hesitation. It was still hasty. The brave ones should stay in a better hotel.

Good guesthouse and especially being part of the Chinese temple makes it special. Clean and spacious room. Unfortunately the toilet gets wet when you shower (more often in Malaysia) and the blanket is a kind of fleece, which feels less fresh than a sheet. But it is clean and that is important. The staff is also friendly. Opposite enough local eateries and with a walk of 20 minutes you are in the historical center of Malacca.

Great price, excellent location, and good service! We checked in late at night, but the host provided clear self-check-in instructions, making the process worry-free. The room was spacious, and all the amenities were in good working condition. There are also several restaurants within walking distance. My family and I were very satisfied with our stay. Returned once again to this Guest house for a night. Still everything good. The host very friendly and knowledgeable. Cheap walk in price. You cant go wrong. Recommended. Parking here is a bonus and lots of spaces. It is set within an Indian temple which is a must to see. About ten minutes walk to the Dutch fort and all the action. There are some restaurants nearby and lots on your way to the Centre.

I could not find any reviews on TripAdvisor. Mostly Booking .com. However i find TripAdvisor more comprehensive. The Hotel is set in a Chinese temple closely located to the central tourist area in Melaka. The Hotel is spotlessly clean. In the reception area there is a large outdoor balcony/seating area where you can have a drink or smoke/vape. There is no bar or restaurant. However there is tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge with beers and soft drinks. Also some snacks if you are hungry. It operates on a trust basis, put the money in a small box provided. This facility is 24 hours. The rooms were old style, clean sheets, bed comfortable and good shower pressure. Air con worked very well. The host named (Willy) is a friendly and knowledgeable Chinese guy. Anything you need to know he will accommodate you. WIFI performed well in reception and the rooms. The cheapest way to book is to walk in or you can bank transfer a RM 50 deposit and pay on arrival. Prices for rooms: RM 62 per night for room with shared bathroom, RM 78 for room with bathroom and balcony. These are walk in prices. Comparison site prices are quite a bit higher. Overall this establishment performed well and you would do well to find something better for the price. There is also adequate parking.
