Omdat er in deze streek een wijnfeest was, was er al weken van de voren moeilijk een kamer te krijgen, alleen in Hotel Landhaus Nassau, drie km buiten de stad Weissen waren nog 2 éénpersoonskamer. De kamers waren kleine bedompte ruimtes, met en oud sanitair en dekbedhoezen uit een ver verleden. Bij terugkomst uit de stad om circa 20.00 uur bleek alles te zijn gesloten, dus geen enkele mogelijkheid voor een drankje. Het ontbijt was goed. Maar omdat het regende wilde we voor een uurtje naar het nabij gelegen zwembad, daarvoor hadden we de handdoeken van het hotel mee genomen. Toen we om 11 uur terug kwamen kregen we temaken met een boze broer van de eigenaar. Handdoeken meenemen kon echt niet volgens hem. Vervolgens moesten we ook nog contact afrekenen.
