Los Patios Hostel

Wonderful place to stay. Clean, safe, great neighborhood. Many amenities. Convenient to many places in Medellin. Many Restaurants and entertainment near by. Staff, especially Nati was kind and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, good service via WhatsApp chat for all needs. Rooms were fine: not much room and the sink is in the room so a bit loud but not too much noise from the street. Good location with lots of bars and restaurants right nearby in the next streets. Positives were a gym and small rooftop pool.

I had high expectations for Los Patios, but unfortunately, my stay was soured by poor communication and rigid, impersonal policies. I had two back-to-back bookings: one night followed by six nights. When I checked in, I mentioned I might leave Medellín earlier than planned. Reception told me that it would not be a problem to shorten my stay as long as I informed them by the next afternoon — they even checked with the manager and reassured me it was fine, so I only paid for the first night. When I returned the next day to officially adjust my 6-night stay down to 4, I was suddenly told it was against their policy to make changes — citing Hostelworld terms. While that may technically be true, the staff had already given me verbal confirmation that changes were possible. I was left with no option but to do a no-show on the second booking to avoid being charged for nights I wasn't staying — ultimately paying for one night I didn’t use, but still feeling scammed out of a fair resolution. It’s incredibly frustrating to be misled by staff, only to be met with inflexibility and cold policy enforcement when trying to follow up in good faith. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I wouldn't stay here again — not because of the space itself, but because of how they treat guests when issues arise.

Not for dating / otherwise good. I have never experienced anything like this in any hotel, where guests are not allowed to visit after 10:30 PM. I guess reason is that reception is not open 24h and only guard works there after 10:30. So if you think you'll be lucky at the end of the night, you won't be at this hotel.

This hostel is good all around, but what I like the most is the personnel, everyone is friendly, professional, and willing to help, the receptionists, the cafeteria employees, the supervisors, the cleaning staff, the security guards every body. I rate them EXCELLENT PLUS !!! That is why I have been there before and that is why I’ be back again.
