The service was horrible. It took forever to order and get your food. The refrigerator was to be restocked every day and they only did it once because we called and complained. They had no activities planned. The heat was not working in many of the rooms. It was not a pleasant stay.

First the pros: great spa. EXCELLENT food. All meals were amazing. Views were pretty good - best ones were actually on the drive up there. Hiking trails didn't have the grandiose views you would expect. Cons: We stayed in the pinnacle cottages. POOR INSULATION. Heard conversations of next-door neighbors. More shockingly, was kept awake for hours at night because of people stomping above us. It was very disappointing. We came to relax and SLEEP (we have three small children). I attended a yoga class (the instructor was lovely) and it was 50 degrees in the library. Apparently, the heat was broken? So I had to do the yoga class in a sweatshirt and socks.

Property is stunning. Service and cleanliness of room was subpar for the reputation and supposed quality of the resort, especially for the expectations associated with the cost of the stay. Overall, the hospitality did not meet expectations as most folks seemed bothered to assist and accommodate.

It was a beautiful property with amazing views. They were a bit limited on staff for a new years holiday, maybe it was just not the best time of year for them as they said several times it was. If you go, the cottage room was very nice with lovely views and easy ways to the lodge.

The property and the views from the treehouse were truly magical, creating an unforgettable experience. While the spa treatments and dining could have been improved, the overall ambiance and natural beauty made it a memorable stay. We look forward to returning to enjoy more of the activities.

Stellar resort. We have been coming here for nearly 20 years. It has evolved a lot. The treehouses are the best. The mountaintop Screech Owl is pristinely kept. The views are fabulous and bed is so comfortable. High on the romance scale and worth the extra 💰

Excellent Service in every area. The amenities are top-notch, staff, is excellent as well as friendly. We were greeted by name and made to feel welcomed. I will definitely be returning to Primland again as every visit there is unique. The Pinnacle is an excellent choice for your stay giving you luxurious accommodations as well as privacy. Definitely schedule a spa treatment after horseback riding as it’s a great way to avoid sore muscles as well as the spa being luxurious and relaxing. We did not have a bad meal regardless of whether we at in the bar, our room, or the Leatherwood. Will definitely try The Stables next time!

Beautiful resort in the Blue Ridge Mts with exceptional amenities and guest accommodations. A fantastic place to relax, enjoy outdoor activities all in one property. Things for a variety of interests… clays, hiking, biking, spa, wine tasting lots of great options.
