Little Ocmulgee is a peaceful getaway in Georgia. Trees draped in Spanish moss, hiking trails and a golf course are some of the highlights. It is one of the oldest state parks in the state. For children there is a playground, a splash pad and mini golf. The lodge backs up to the golf course, so if you are in the right room, you can watch people playing from your room. There is a restaurant in the lodge, or you can drive to McCrae or Helena to buy food. The lake is currently drained to do dam repairs, but when the water is restored, there are canoes and lake bikes that can be rented.

Property was nice, glad their was a good food option on site. Comfortable bed and nice room. Exactly what I could hope for in a stay.

Nice campground. The lodge restaurant was not open even though the sign out front said open 6-9. We were just passing thru for one night so we did not do any activities. I was surprised at how crowded this campground was for February. The host was very friendly and helpful when we pulled in at 6:30. We had a pull through spot with water and electricity, no sewer. $67

Walls very thin, can listen to other guests in whatever they are doing. Price too high for what you receive. Food at Mulligans was very good and waitress was also

They close way earlier that there hours say and there is not anyone on the property if you need anything

Room was so musty, wished I had brought a can of Fabreze...would have emptied it! Also, water pressure is very low. Shower spigot is so weak, I could pee a stronger stream. In spite of that, water immediately gave a puddle up to my ankles 30 seconds into shower. Bed was comfy enough. Bath towel was so thin you could see thru it. Adjacent town of McRae has little to offer. Good luck!
