A clean, comfortable bed, though probably too soft for some. A small room even smaller when you have a bicycle. Good AC/Heat which was good when it was a warm day and cool night. Some hall noise, but no problem with noise room to room. The roof top bar had a great view and was nice. Overall a pleasant stay.

If you like shabby, no amenities (tv, coffee maker, fridge), bathrooms that need updating ( tub with shower ring and weak water pressure, no counter space) or sharing bathrooms and very little storage then this is the place for you. Don't try to pass off shabby as "historical".

Do not book this hotel if you want to sleep at night. A number of the rooms, particularly on the second floor are so noisy from the plumbing system that you will not be able to sleep at all. The hotel is in a great location but sadly if you are booked into the wrong room you will not be able to sleep. It is outrageous that the hotel staff are aware of the noise but there is absolutely no warning you will not be able to sleep in time for you to move hotels. Whatever you are thinking, do not book this hotel.

If nostalgia is your thing, then the early 1900s hotel is for you. Old, creaky, and remodeled. They have kept it original looking, with the Eklectic McMinimins flair they have, but not for me. Old rooms, small tub, uncomfortable bed, but nostalgic. Just not for me, who likes modern and updated, especially for 225/night.

We stayed here one night. Just know when you stay at a McMenamins property, that you’ll get small rooms, eclectic artwork and it’s a brewpub with brewpub atmosphere. This property, Oregon Hotel, has no parking onsite. You have to find parking somewhere around the area. Overall, staff was very friendly. Would recommend for couples, not really for families. Dog friendly.

Even though I was traveling on business, staying at the Hotel Oregon was enjoyable. Never have had issues with the common bathroom. The rates don't include breakfast but there is tea and coffee available. There is breakfast available on-site, and several nice breakfast places within a few blocks.

This was a unique experience in an old fashioned hotel space. If you don’t mind quirky, it’s fine. Supposedly, the place is *******. You need to check in by 10pm as there is no on-site front desk person after that, and if you need any other help, sol e it before 10am. I experienced my room key got corrupted so it didn’t work but luckily this was at 8am when desk was staffed. I had a room with a sink but without its own bathroom, there was 1 large men’s and 1 women’s bathroom on sane floor each with toilets and showers so it was fine. Bed was comfy, AC was fine. The walls between rooms are a bit thin, I was awoken by an inebriated man screaming at a female over phone speaker and he pounded his walls very loudly. I could hear most of the conversation- it then quieted down and was fine. All in all, it was fine for 1 night stay.

So this was our first time staying at this hotel. We have heard great things about these renovated historic hotels and thought we would give it a try. We decided to have a girls trip and wanted a place wear we could walk to. We should have thought something was up when we tried on numerous times to contact the hotel because we had a few questions about the room. No one ever answered the phone. Which was odd. Once we arrived, the girl was very flighty and couldn’t answer any of our questions. We had arrived at 2:45 pm and were not aloud to check in until 3:00 pm. She did tell us we could drop our bags at the desk since the parking garage was 2 blocks away. Once we were allow to check in, she gave us the key card and sent us up. It was a very tiny room with a queen bed and our own bathroom. It was a tight squeeze for 2 adult women but we figured we were only there to sleep, so ok. There was only one nightstand so I had to use my suitcase standing up to accommodate my cpap machine. There were ear plugs left on the nightstand. This is because the other guest that do not have a bathroom in their room, have to share one in the hallway. So throughout the night people are coming and going to the hallway to use the restroom. You hear everything. Definitely not a restful night of sleep. The next morning we went down for breakfast. Don’t waste your money. It was awful. I was even serviced a hot tea with lipstick prints left on the cup. The Farmers Market was good. We did a few wine tastings that day but be warned. They are pricey. Also….. most of the restaurants are closed at 5 pm. Good luck finding something decent to eat. The tasting rooms close by 7 pm. The was two bars open until 9 pm. We went back to the hotel and there was a gathering in the room across from reception. Not too sure what was going on there. Weird music, a woman dancing around like she was floating and then they all started to chant. We left the next morning. There was a weird vibe there. They are super into the whole alien thing. Not sure what is going on there. The town looks really cute but the locals aren’t very friendly.

McMenamins has a following. The vibe is a little weird at this hotel. If one can get past Helen Sutton (my room) staring at you from the wall all night you’ll be fine. Nice story board about her but a little creepy that there is a painting of her on the wall. I am laughing as some may think this is cool. Helen watched over me all night… I think…
