Holiday Inn Express & Suites Mckinney - Frisco East

This Holiday Inn Express is fairly new and in good condition, in a nice area of Mckinney. Room was clean; we had one with two queen beds on 4th floor, and paid a huge premium because of a golf tournament. Even though the room was set up for 4 people, there were two bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths (poor quality) provided, and no body wash in dispenser, just a tiny bar of soap. I asked for 4 of everything for the 2nd night, and they were provided. My husband and I like a lite breakfast and look forward to oatmeal normally provided at hotels of this level. The oatmeal available at this hotel was watery and could have been a beverage rather than a porridge. Only two other cereals were offered, Raisin Bran and Fruit Loops. There were NO toppings other than sugar, and no bananas. The only yogurt was Lite 'n Lively in tiniest servings I've ever seen. Milk was not labeled, in a pitcher. Decaf tea bags extremely limited first day, none second day, but a staff member brought several to our room. My husband tried some sausages and fried potatoes, and, while the sausage was ok, concluded that the potatoes, which were rock hard and tough, had been held over from the previous day. For those who like hot foods, there were several offerings, but if you like a lite breakfast, stay away!

Suite room w/sleeper sofa had no bedding in room. Front desk staff had no idea how to help expect give me two fitted sheets. Blamed it on housekeeping. He also said he had no one to call. I have to convince him to provide me the blankets from an empty clean room. We made due but would not stay here again. This was only the first 45 mins of being on property at 8:30pm on a Saturday. What would have happened if the hotel was sold out? We’d be forced to find another hotel at our own expense me fight for a refund. This is not even worth half of the $165 nightly fee.

Property is very quiet, and staff is nice and professional. There was a huge questionable stain on the window coverings, but everything else was good. I'd have no trouble staying here again

Very clean with friendly staff. Breakfast was very good and offered many choices.
