SpringHill Suites Dallas McKinney/Allen

This hotel is sub par. We stayed there for a week recently. When we arrived, we were told by the hotel that the cleaning was to be every other day. On the first night, the toilet overflowed. We asked for cleaning the next morning, but the front desk staff told us the cleaning can only happen every other day so it was not our day to clean yet. I was given a Lysol spray can and towels and was told to "clean it yourself." I cleaned the mess up but had a lot of towels piled up in the bathroom. So, I asked the front desk if the cleaning people could come to collect the towels. The front desk staff initially said that it was not my day for the cleaning so the cleaning people would not be able to come in to collect the dirty towels and I had to put the towels outside of our room myself. I told her the towels were gross and she said that the cleaning people will come the next day to collect the towels. Then, on the day of the "actual" cleaning, the dirty towels were removed by the cleaning people. However, the only "cleaning" they did was to make the bed, empty the trash cans, but nothing else. They left a new soap bar but didn't wipe down the bathroom vanity and counter. On the third night of our stay, the hotel had a scheduled electricity outage so there was no air conditioning for about 4 hours during the night. In addition to these inconveniences, the elevators had minimal air conditioning and had smelled like spoiled food the whole time we were there. The hotel also didn't supply any water for the rooms. We had to purchase water bottles ourselves at $6 per bottle. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone coming to McKinney, especially there are so many hotels at that location.

The room was never cleaned. We were there for 4 days. We wish it would have been cleaned while we were there. It started to smell.

Excellent staff and comfortable rooms

Nice place. Very clean and modern rooms. Breakfast was just so-so. Muffins & oatmeal with all the toppings are your best bet. Bacon & eggs not so good. We did enjoy our stay though and the staff were friendly and helpful!!
