Environment: The location is good, just in a good location in the town at the entrance of Denali National Park. There are cabins facing the river. The ordinary rooms are in a building on the mountain. You can drive to the entrance to put your luggage, and then drive back to the parking lot. The lobby is spacious and decorated in style.
Service: There is a shuttle bus to Denali National Park, with many flights, and paper forms are available at the front desk. The restaurant is ordered, and I don’t have time to go and can’t comment.
Facilities: There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, and there is no microwave in the public area. This must be badly rated. It is relatively old, and the sink leaks. There is not even a socket at the head of the bed, so the phone cannot be charged at the head of the bed. Be careful if you don’t like old hotels.

We did 2 weeks with Holland America. 1st week was land including Denali Lodge, Wilderness tour and other excursions. We had terrific weather both weeks and did see the top of Denali. The 2nd week was a cruise. It was incredible!

The cabins were really good and good overall experience. The front desk staff could be better. We were 4 families and requested before we arrived that we want to be in the same building. By the time we got there, we were given 3 different buildings and were told we are all booked. For my friend they gave 1king instead of requested 2 queens so he had to sleep on the sofa bed. When he first went into the room, someone's luggage was there. When asked, the front desk lady said, you can just remove the luggage and put yours. We had to go back to the front to get the room changed. The only concerning thing is you will get 5 different answers from 5 different people at the front desk. So please be specific about your requirements well ahead of time and REMEMBER THE PERSON'S NAME YOU SPOKE WITH. They will ask you who you spoke with if you say we spoke to front desk. This has been a pattern all over Alaska.

Our stay here was amazing! We were in Ridge View and everything about it was perfect. All of the shuttle drivers we spoke with were very friendly. Loved the main lodge for coffee and pastries. Our dinner at Karstens Public House was delicious and service was quick. Enjoyed sitting by the fire pits in the gift shops and restaurant area. Loved watching the rabbits and ermine running around. Nice walking trail by the river. Even had musher pups in the yard in the afternoon. Plenty of shuttles to hop on or you can walk everywhere.

My wife and I stayed at the Holland America Denali Lodge during our land-sea tour on the Nieuw Amsterdam cruise ship. The lodge is very conveniently located near Denali National Park and the transportation provided by the Lodge made it very easy to visit the park. The building in which we stayed, simply labeled S, is a 12-room, two-story building sitting alongside the Nenana River. The two-room quarters was clean, quiet and comfortable. There are a number of reasonably-priced restaurants and a coffee shop on the property, along with a few specialty shops and a gift shop in the main lodge. During our visit in June, there were three on-site property shuttles that operated on a continuous loop. As such, we never waited long for a ride. The lodge also features some evening entertainment in a small amphitheater. Finally, we also hiked along the Riverwalk Trail, which had informational signs that reviewed details of the four seasons and covered everything from berries to sunlight. It was a good way to stretch our legs and the signage was interesting and informative. All in all, the lodge was actually nicer than I expected it to be and it was very comfortable and convenient to visiting Denali National Park. The staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

We booked this lodge for our honeymoon months ago, we had booked a King bed but surprise, room types aren’t guaranteed and we got two twin beds that weren’t even in the same room. We spoke to a manager who basically told us to pack sand. That was very disappointing. Our room was in building A and we had the lobby air conditioner directly behind our room, so not a great view. It was also incredible loud. It kind of worked like a white noise machine until it turns off at 2am. And then on again at 7am. The room was fairly mediocre, bed were okay, everything was really dated and in ok-ish shape. The property itself seemed fine enough. We ate at Karsten’s Public House and it was perfectly acceptable if a little pricey. We also tried to get take out dessert from the Canyon Ridge Grill which took about 45 minutes… and they forgot the ice cream. Overall, I’d try to stay somewhere else if you can. If this is your only option it’s not the end of the world, hopefully you’re spending most of your time in the park but at this price I expected it to be a little better.

1 star motel at best. Run down, terrible beds. Buckhouse style rooms. Not built for comfort. Definitely a mistake booking. All the pictures they have as re misleading at best.

Stayed 3 night as part of Holland America cruise. had a newer nice room with balcony. View was beautiful. Property was very clean and nice, staff was terrific. Lots of free shuttles Only downside was food. basically 2 different restaurants, which were expensive and mediocre at best. The Princess property next door had more food options.
