I checked into comfort inn in Mccomb MS on 10/11/2024 at around 215pm. My husband and I had just left a funeral and went into the room, changed and came back. I arrived back to the room around 930 pm, changed clothes and laid down. While laying down, I saw a roach in the bed. I called the front desk and told the agent what I saw and that I did not want my stay for the following day. I laid back down, very uncomfortable. About 15 minutes later I saw another roach on the area by the TV. I got up shook all of my things out and left the hotel, I wasn’t sure where I was going but I had to go because I was not able to sleep there. I stopped at the front desk and told the agent. She wrote it down for the manager and told me they had many workers staying in the hotel and this is where they may have come from. I called Mindy the hotel manager the next morning and she told me to send a copy of my receipt showing that I had to book another room at another hotel and the owner would likely reimburse me. This was a complete disaster. We came down here for a funeral and after the funeral this is not what I wanted to do. Mindy the front desk manager emailed me back after I responded to the online survey. She stated that they were not able to find traces of roaches, but then stated their hotel is treated weekly. Why would you treat a hotel weekly unless there is an issue. She also stated that I stayed at the hotel all day??? I checked in after a funeral at around 215pm to change clothes and went right back out. Came back at 9 something and saw the roaches at almost 11 and left immediately after. I found another hotel, checked in and sent a copy of the receipt as instructed. I have not yet been refunded.
