We had a wonderful and relaxing stay right in front of the beach. The location is peaceful yet full of local charm, you can watch activities by the locals, and even see horses swimming in the ocean! The food was excellent, always offering at least one delicious vegetarian option. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The staff was professional, warm, and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Schöne Lage am Strand, freundlich gestaltete Haeuschen, unglaublich freundliche Mitarbeiter, gutes Fruehstuek und wirkllich ausgezeichnetes dreigaengiges Abendessen. Dabei kann man 1 Stunde vorher aus drei Varianten waehlen. Hoteleigner Liegebereich So erholsam und nur 40 Minuten zum Flughafen.

J’ai séjourné en 2015 puis cette année 2018et ai eu un énorme plaisir de retrouver non seulement ce lieu magique mais aussi Aminata et Marie (qui m’ont reconnu d’ailleurs !) et qui sont restées toujours aussi gracieuses et attentionnées ! Cet hôtel est l’un des plus beaux qu’il m’ait été donné de connaître et il est fait pour les personnes de qualité qui cherchent une expérience unique et intime (puisqu’il ne s’agit pas d’un établissement type village de vacances !). Il n’y a pas de piscine pas d’animation pas de télévision dans les chambres (mais le wifi est d’excellente qualité!) . La case du Chef où j’ai séjourné les deux fois vaut son prix ! L’architecture et la décoration sont de très haute qualité créative! La cuisine est excellente le personnel aux petits soins et le bruit des vagues rythme le séjour du début à la fin ! La plage publique devant l’hôtel est très animée les après-midi mais les matins il n’y a personne ! Idéal pour piquer une tête!

We are just back from 11 days staying at this absolute gem! Tama lodge is paradise. The staff cannot do enough for you, it's immaculately clean, we were concerned about eating there for every meal, we didn't need to worry, I'm a vegetarian and my husband is a pescatarian and in the 11 days we ate a different meal each time and they were all delicious. We highly recommend the trip to the fish market and to watch the boats coming in with their haul. Our guide Omar was fabulous and walked us around through the village for a good couple of hours, it was very interesting and we felt very comfortable. The Senegalese are lovely happy people and of course they offer their handmade goods but they are not pushy at all. The beach directly in front of Tama Lodge is often filled with young people practicing wrestling, football or just swimming and playing it's a lovely happy family atmosphere. We would recommend organising a taxi via the manager from the airport to the lodge, we used *********** and had a terrible experience, going back to the airport the staff organised a driver for us who was punctual, an excellent driver and a very pleasant chap. French is the predominant language and English is not really used much, however the staff were able to translate the menu each day and it was quite fun using 'sign language' and Google translate elsewhere. We cannot recommend Tama Lodge enough, we are already in the process of booking our next visit 😊

Nous avons passé un séjour fantastique. A l’écart du flux touristique de Saly, le Tama lodge est un petit lodge très calme et plein de charme. Le service et l’attention que nous avons reçu était parfait. Le restaurant a une carte très limitée mais c’est gage de qualité! Les excursions organisées avec Mamadou étaient super intéressantes. Merci à toute l’équipe de Marie Claire! Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute.

Wonderful stay! The staff extremely welcoming and there to make sure you have everything you need. The attention to detail including the rooms and the tasteful decor, simply beautiful. The meals were delicious and well presented. You are right on the beach and can hear the waves at night. Property is well maintained, solid Wi-Fi signal, no complaints. Would highly recommend and we would absolutely stay again. Great place to relax and recharge.

Fantastique séjour au Tama Lodge après 10 jours de road trip au Sénégal. C’est vraiment l'une de nos meilleures expériences d’hébergement, tous voyages confondus (et nous avons beaucoup voyagé). Le lieu est incroyable, sur une plage très calme avec une belle vue et des soleils couchants magnifiques. Les chambres sont très confortables, on dort merveilleusement bien. Mais surtout, il y énormément d’authenticité dans ce lieu. La décoration par exemple est réalisée avec goût et entièrement avec des objets trouvés localement. Et le mieux, vraiment le mieux, ce sont les gens. Non seulement ils sont gentils et accueillants comme les Sénégalais le sont en général, fils et filles de la Teranga, mais ici, en plus, ils ont été bien formés pour comprendre les attentes des hôtes et bien communiquer avec eux. Par exemple, la cuisine est délicieuse - comme souvent au Sénégal- mais en plus, ici, le service est attentif et efficace. Mention spéciale à Aminata, au bar, et à Macoumba, qui veille sur le bien-être des hôtes dans le jardin. Un très grand merci à Jean, le propriétaire, qui nous a accueilli élégamment et chaleureusement. Nous n’avons plus qu’une envie : retourner au Tama Lodge avec nos enfants !
