Nkambeni Safari Camp

Nkambeni Safari Hotel Management, I am writing to share some concerns regarding our recent stay at your property, where we were hosted as a family group of 10 guests — including two elderly adults, and four professionals (three physicians and one lawyer), and 4 childrens. While we appreciated the hotel’s facilities and overall structure, we unfortunately experienced several issues related to guest service, particularly at the help desk. Throughout our stay, we encountered situations such as incorrect charges inconsistent with the rates agreed upon with our tour operator, and, more concerningly, interactions marked by unprofessional behavior — including dismissive looks, sarcasm, and ironic remarks that made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. On the day of our arrival, we informed the restaurant staff that we would need quick snacks prepared one hour in advance, as we were scheduled to attend the afternoon game. However, due to a misunderstanding, the items were served on plates rather than packed. When we requested that the food be packed for takeaway, the head chef approached our group and addressed me directly, stating that no such arrangement had been made and that they could not be rushed — in a tone that was both inappropriate and unnecessarily confrontational. Additionally, when we asked for the hotel shop to be opened, a staff member named Cynthia did so, but questioned whether we were going to buy anything or just browse — a comment that felt discourteous. Later that same day, when I signed the receipt for ice cream and chocolates, she stated, “This way, you won’t accuse me of stealing,” which I found both offensive and entirely uncalled for. These experiences unfortunately impacted the overall quality of our stay. We believe that hospitality should always be grounded in courtesy, attentiveness, and respect — values that were not consistently demonstrated by certain members of your team during our visit. We hope this feedback is taken constructively and leads to improvements in guest relations training and communication standards. We trust your commitment to offering the level of service expected from a hotel of your category.

A fantastic experience for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Nkambeni and would definitely recommend it. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent. The buffets for both varied daily and the variety was great. Staff were all very attentive and friendly. A friendly warning: The lodge’s gates close at 5:30pm, so ensure that you give yourself enough time to meet the time limit.

Very nice place, friendly staff, excellent food and comfortable beds. It is really the best kept secret.

The food was top quality and I actually got more excited to go to the meals than the actual stay. The rooms were so nice and the air conditioner really made the stay more pleasant. The staff were also so friendly and ready to help and it felt like I was right at home. I really can’t wait to return to this lodge and will definitely recommend it to more than just my family!!

Nkambeni's staff is the friendliest, most helpful staff I've ever seen and experienced at a Safari Camp. The food is of an excellent quality and during our 5 day stay at Nkambeni, without having left the camp, we saw rhinos, hippos, elephants, kudus, waterbucks and a buffalo right next to the fence! The facilities are clean and well-kept. Hot water and solar panels as well as a spa makes Nkambeni an unforgettable place.

The place is very nice the rooms have air conditioner, 2 beds and 1 Seat the ca. Turn I to a bed. The bathroom is nice, just some and see of yourself
