We had a lovely stay at Hotel Caparena! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The hotel’s beachfront location is truly stunning! Clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The food was another highlight. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented at every meal. Everything was kept very clean, from the rooms to the common areas, which we really appreciated. Our only disappointment was the air conditioning. Unfortunately, it struggled to keep the room cool, and at times it felt quite hot, especially at night. This was a bit uncomfortable given the summer temperatures. Overall, though, the positives far outweighed this one drawback, and we would definitely consider returning, especially for the beach, the food, and the staff.

Per il secondo anno consecutivo abbiamo scelto il Caparena per un weekend in famiglia. Abbiamo trovato le nuove camere al premium floor, finemente ristrutturate ed arredate. Lo staff si dimostra sempre disponibile ad esaudire le nostre richieste (pranzo in camera per il nostro bimbo, torta a sorpresa per il festeggiato). Il ristorante offre ottimi piatti, buonissimo l’arancino e il filetto di spigola. La colazione offre una notevole varietà di scelta tra dolce e salato. L’hotel offre inoltre un comodissimo servizio navetta per il centro di Taormina. Super consigliato!

Hotel Caparena was very nice with clean rooms and great staff, we had a lovely time in Toamina! The shuttle bus was excellent we used it every day a special thank you to Salvatore, Pipo and drivers! The restaurant staff were amazing especially Nadine, Andrea, Adriano not to mention the rest of the gang! Lots of love Maria & Martin XxX

Hotel staff members are attentive, helpful, and very interested in ensuring you have a wonderful time. The suite with an ocean view is everything. The free shuttle into town and back must be reserved in advance so if you plan to use this service on the day/evening of your check in, you should call ahead to be added to the schedule. Reserved seats fill up fast. Wish I had photos to share but it was only for two nights at the end of our vacation. The room finishes are modern and new. Everything is clean and beautiful there. The breakfast is spectacular with gluten free and vegetarian options.

The hotel was good but the carpeting and elevators need replacement. The hotel is on the beach which is a great plus. They provide a shuttle to the center of town which is very convenient.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff were rude and were not confident in English, making every interaction frustrating. The pool had mould, and so did the rooms, which also reeked of damp. Rust was everywhere, from fixtures to balcony railings, and litter covered the grounds. The food was awful—bland, poorly prepared, and barely edible. What shocked me most was when I started taking pictures of the mould and rust for documentation. A staff member saw me and became aggressive, eventually threatening to call the police if I didn’t stop. I was stunned—rather than fixing the issues, they tried to intimidate me for exposing them. To make matters worse, there was a moment when a half-naked woman was walking around the lobby. When I approached reception about it, they casually claimed they had “tried” to deal with it—but all I saw was them standing around and watching, making no real effort to resolve the issue. This place is a complete disaster—unsanitary, unsafe, and totally unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.

What can I say about a hotel stuck between a railway line and 3 roads? It is also possible to organize private parties there, which are prioritized, which means sleepless nights for the people staying in the hotel. You can complain, but nothing helps. The pluses... a shuttle that takes you to Taormina for free. The food is good. At a reasonable price. I will never set foot there again.
