My wife and I visited the Elisabeth in May of 2024 after we picked up her new vehicle in Zuffenhausen, Germany. We were on a two week driving trip through Germany, Liechtenstein and Austria. We selected the Elisabeth for a variety of reasons. We wanted an adult oriented property, a quality spa environment, a good location for walking and hiking and importantly secure indoor parking. The Elisabeth met all these points. Our room was in the new section of the property and was modern, large, well-appointed, quiet and spotlessly clean. It had abundant storage, closet space although we were traveling lightly in a small vehicle for two weeks. The bed was comfortable and there was lots of sitting/relaxing space. The indoor self parking was underground and although the entry/exit was a little tight, the individual spaces were large. An elevator gave direct access to the hotel from the garage. There were plenty of open spaces and nice cars. The location is great for walking through Mayrhofen and for shopping and for access to the cable car to the top of the ski area. We cabled up and walked back down to the Mid-station. It was a great walk, not difficult and the scenery was amazing. One note: Shops and some restaurants in Mayrhofen (Austria in general?) are closed on Sunday and Monday. We had the half-Board meal plan and that was a good decision. That avoided the random selection of restaurants and off-hour operations. We drank the Austrian wines and were pleased with quality and price. The food was abundant, well-prepared and with a good selection. We had a dairy allergy that was quickly and well-accommodated. We were assigned the same table and server for our entire stay. We thought that unusual, but it turned out to be a pleasure. Our server was engaging, spoke fluent English and was helpful in many ways. The Spa was fabulous. We were provided a "Spa Bag" with robes and towels and clothespins with our room number to attach to your robe. The entire spa area was very well-equipped, and again spotlessly clean. The pools require swimsuits, but the sauna/steam rooms are in a clearly marked separate area that is "textile-free". There is an infra-red lounger area there that was most effective after a hike. The cool mist shower was awesome after the steam room. The sauna area was not busy during our stay, with rarely more than 4-6 other guests. There are multiple quiet, relaxing areas, inside and outside. There is an elaborate whirlpool in a courtyard that we did not use, but found intriguing. We booked massages with Johanna. She was amazing with perfect English, and massage techniques. She was engaging, knowledgable about every aspect of the Spa and was very pleasant. We noted that most of the other guests were couples or single female travelers. Our experience was good on every level. The front desk staff, servers and spa staff were almost all English fluent and welcoming. From the welcoming brief, the glass of bubbly on arri
