My friends and I popped into the Bistro for happy hour on Thursday and it was closed for a private event. Janice, the owner of the resort greeted us to explain. She welcomed the 4 of us into their air conditioned gallery. A server offered beverages and charcuterie for us to enjoy. We had a lovely time and were so impressed with her hospitality. Thank you, Janice!

Honestly I love mayne island resort and I love Mayne Island. This stay was tough. I stayed for two nights in the king room. I’ve stayed previously in a queen room and in a 2 bedroom. The air conditioning would not work. It was set to 17 but never got below 25. I avoided the room at all costs, which is pretty easy to do there during the day as the beach and pool kept us busy. Nights were impossible. I was not comfortable leaving the door open all night as I had my young daughter with me. There was an ant infestation that I know staff was dealing with once I left. The last issue was the blinds which would not stay down. I ended up propping them down with a towel. The staff were aware of the issues and although were kind, offered no compensation or a chance to welcome me back at a discount. Pretty disappointed.

My sister and I rented one of the beach cottages, the cottage its self was worth it . Clean, comfortable, bright and tastefully done. We enjoyed our patio and views were spectacular. Very relaxing with a nice beach and hike close by. Pool and hot tub were comfortable. We had a perfect meal on the restaurant deck with very friendly service. All staff at the hotel made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend to all our friends and family

We visited Mayne Island for a relaxing day in thw summer and stopped at Bennett Bay Bistro at the resort. Loved it and this is our 4th visit back for a weekend at the Bennett Bay Resort. The staff and rooms ar fantastic and it feels like you have been on a week long happy holiday after the weekend. Ferry service is easy from any of the islands or from Vancouver. The island is outstanding with perfect coffee shop book store, restaurant that serves original delicious meals. Driving around the island is fun and so many lovely bays to visit on the island. Weve been to most of the islands, live on Vancouver Island and Mayne Island is the best by far! Bennet Bay Resort is a special place to stay. They also have 3 charging stations for EV cars so no stress.
