Hotel was run down and in dire need of updates. Hallway carpet looked old and worn. Bathroom didn’t have a walk-in shower and contained furniture that resembled something from the 70s. Didn’t see any USB outlets in the room. I’ve stayed at nicer Motel 6’s and Budget Inns. The quality is definitely not up to Hilton standards. Can’t believe I paid almost $200 for this room. For what you get, a fair rate should have been more like $49. Very disappointed. Can’t recommend.

Everything was Great.
Down side there is No Exhaust fans in the bath rooms to suck out the stink after you go to the bathroom.

Out of hundreds of Hamptons we have stayed in over a 10-year period, this has to be the worst for so many reasons. The two main ones are that the desk staff was very rude and wouldn't even recognize my Gold status and even asked me to return one of my two allowed waters from my room and refused my snack. Second was the shower, it look like a ****** had happened just before we arrived, and the desk clerk didn't want to even discuss it. He down graded my paid room in an 80% empty hotel just because he didn't like that I was white. Please avoid this place at all costs.

I made a mistake on my reservation, but the General Manager Jamel did an excellent job of getting it straightened out with *******. He certainly went the extra mile. That is great customer service!

The area around the hotel was fine, it was close to Downtown Matthews. The hotel was easy to check-in to using the Hilton App. The room had ripped carpet right in front of the entry door. Possible tripping hazard for those using a walking assistance device. The room had an odor consistent with something being wet and souring. Since I was traveling alone, it did not bother me to the point to request a different room. Though I would have if my spouse had been with me. I most likely will not stay at this location or chain again. I usually stay at other Hilton properties (Double-Tree or Embassy Suites) with a much better experience. Based on this stay, I would not reommend this place to a friend.
