Matteson Hotels with Wi-Fi

This place is in desperate need of TLC. Broken/damaged/soiled furniture, mold, chipped paint. I really had the impression that I shouldn’t touch things in the room. We literally lifted the mattress to check for bedbugs before we decided to stay. We only needed two nights, thankfully. Admittedly we chose this place for the price but we suffered the consequences. Good enough to lay our heads down for two nights but I was dissatisfied to say the least. The woman at the front desk for check out was pleasant, more so than the young man who checked us in. If you can pay more to stay elsewhere, spend the money!

We were going to an event in So Chicago, so this location was ideal for us. Unlike other reviewers, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was a little smaller but clean, comfortable, and very quiet. We did not need use the internet on this visit. Breakfast was the usual selections and quite good. I would like to see the addition of grab bars in the tub area.

I was suprisley shock how clean this place was considering the location. I was even more impressed how professional the staff was and how accommodating they were towards the guest. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus and along with the daily complimentary popcorn and cookies.
