Hotel Luna Park

I stayed here on a tour. The location is very close to the Dogo Onsen main building, so it's convenient for going there for a bath. Bamboo baskets, towels, and soap are available for rent for outdoor bathing. This system is the same at surrounding hotels. The building had a strange structure, and the tour bus stopped on the 5th floor of the main building at the back. The room was on the 3rd floor of the main building, but the room was divided into left and right rooms across the elevator. The rooms on the right side facing the atrium can see the windows of the building next door, so the rooms on the left side are probably better. The room is large, but there are 4 beds, so there's a lot of space that you can't actually use. The room has a unit bath, but since it is Dogo Onsen, the hot water is on the roof of the annex building and comes up from below the bathtub, so it is so hot that you can't get into it without stirring it. There was also a ceramic kiln bath. Although I went to Dogo Onsen, this bath was a bit disappointing. The next morning I had a unit bath in my room. I went to Dogo Onsen Honkan once in the evening and made a reservation for 9pm, so I was able to enter. Without this, it would have been a rough stay. Since we were on several tours, we had a set kaiseki meal for dinner at a set time, but there were no special dishes other than the sea bream simmered. Breakfast was a buffet with other guests in the same banquet hall, but it was unusually crowded. If the bus departure times overlap, it will likely be a problem.

Stayed in a Japanese-style room. It is undeniably old, but it is clean. I wonder if it used to be a Western-style room, and there are desks and lights for Western-style rooms, and decorations that don't match Japanese-style rooms are very half-baked. Some pillars are not well known. The posters in the elevator are too messy and should be sorted out to some extent. Inside the hotel, there are many characters that attract children's interest, which makes the hotel look even cheaper. Isn't it better to value the concept? The chairs in the sub-front waiting room on the 6th floor of the main building are upholstered in brown leather, giving it the atmosphere of a municipal hospital waiting room. Since it's a hotel, it would be better to do something about the electricity, or change the direction of the chairs so that they are all facing the same direction as in a municipal hospital. The structure of the hotel is a little complicated, and when I went to the public bath, I couldn't tell if I was in the main building or the annex. Be careful if you have no sense of direction. There are about 3 types of large public baths, and I was satisfied with both the hot water temperature and the quality of the water. There are few people from around 21:30, so it may be the aim. The comfort of the futon was very good. As it is not formal hotel, there are many customers with children. If you don't like that kind of thing, or if you want a sense of luxury, it's safe to choose another hotel.
