The hotel is only a 20 minute walk from the Upper Highland Bus Station. The public areas have been refurbished and the facilities are better. The rooms are old-fashioned hotel style, pillows and beds are just as usual. Good dinner. Take the child and don't want to toss, spend money to buy a convenient.

It seems like it has recently been renovated, so some of the basic parts are still old, but it was well-maintained and the facility was clean. I think the meals were well-balanced without being too heavy on meat.
The bath is said to come from a hot spring source, but it was so hot that I had to be careful to get into it. However, I think the power of the hot springs is that I was able to stay in light clothes until the morning without getting cold. If the changing room is dark, you will not feel safe, so I think it would be better if it was a little brighter.
I think the distance between the staff was just right, but since my luggage was heavy, I wish I had an elevator.

It is the first hot spring hotel in Shirabone Hot Springs, and it is quite large in scale. The matching meal is not bad. The facilities in the room we stayed in were slightly old, but very clean. After running so far, I mainly enjoy the hot springs. The color of the hot springs is really special, white and blue-white, and they are all original hot springs. The open-air bath is particularly emotional. However, in general, for such a large-scale hotel, the hot spring pool is relatively small, and it may be a little crowded when there are many people. It was fine when I went. The service of the hotel is very good. Particularly moved. Because Shirakone Hot Spring is really remote, the only shops and public facilities in the hot spring village are closed after the last public handover at 4 pm. In the afternoon, we went out of the hotel and strolled around in Baigu Hot Spring Village. We returned to the hotel only after dark. There were security guards at the door of the hotel. My friend and I said that they would not be waiting for us. It turned out to be worried for us, waiting for us to return to the hotel. Moving

Last minute I booked a hotel, there weren’t many choices, so I booked it when I saw it was so cheap and had a room. I only book to the old hotel, which is pretty clean and the hot springs are not bad. The location is very close to Kamikochi and Norikura bus stops when driving by car. However, the worst part is that you can’t go out for a picnic in the old hotel, and there are no restaurants nearby. In the end, you have to go out for a picnic with friends. The overall CP value is high but the food is very inconvenient. If I have the chance to stay again, I hope to book a dinner at the new hotel.

After playing in the upper highlands, take the car and change the car at Zedu (k20). After getting off the bus at Baigu Hot Spring, it is in the case. An elderly person will ask you about the hotel you booked, and then call the hotel. The hotel has a car to pick up (although not far away, it is all up the mountain road). The service attitude was very good, the front desk met a Hong Kong person, very patient to help us plan the next day's itinerary. The hot springs are open-air.

I was very worried when I read the comments section before coming here. It is very good for a hot spring hotel in the mountains to have such service and quality.
We originally booked two days, but later directly extended our stay with the hotel for one day.
The hot spring is very comfortable. It is normal to have some sediment in the natural hot spring water. There is no problem if there are some leaves in the open-air hot spring.
The food was very good, I couldn't finish it by myself.
Overall, it was very good. In addition, it happened to snow heavily on the day I extended my stay, which was great👏

GGuest UserThe service at this hotel is excellent. From the concierge to front desk. Location is near Matsumoto station. I was directed to a multi storey hotel parking at the back of the hotel. It cost 1100 yen per day (multiple entry per day). Just exchange your parking ticket with the reception . They settle the parking fees when you check out.
The hotel is rather old. Looks like you entered the 1980s zone. Rooms are renovated to some extend but I could see the wear and tear. Housekeeping a bit sloppy as the window bay area was dusty when we checked in and there was a musky smell esp the bathroom.

AAttattzzExcellent new hotel, very well furnished and decorated rooms. Shoes off as soon as you enter the hotel. They even have a cleaning machine at the entrance to clean the wheels of your luggage. Nice onsen, though a little small. Free popsicles and ramen for supper. Very close to Matsumoto Train station.

TTxjemI had a wonderful experience here at Cafe&Stay Castana. The room was clean and comfortable, a great find at this price! The location is great with a free parking lot available, and with a huge supermarket conveniently located beside. However, I have to especially commend the staff, they were so friendly and accommodating to our needs! As you know, sometimes travellers are disoriented and stressed, and their willingness to help is deeply appreciated. I also had to ask for directions to a doctor as I fell sick, and they went above and beyond to take care of me. I could have only experienced this humanity at a small enterprise like this, and am very grateful.

From the hotel>>Matsumoto Sta. 9:00/10:00 If you want to stop by near the castle, tell the driver. He will let you get off along the way before reaching the station.
■Before checking in, we went to Kamikochi first. In the morning, we left our luggage at Ace Inn, which is part of the same chain. We will get a numbered tag to pick up our luggage at Shoho. / After checking out, we will go sightseeing in the city before returning. We can leave our luggage at Shoho. They will send it to us to pick up at Ace Inn.
■Free drinks from 15:00-20:00: Tea, coffee, fruit juice, beer. / Welcome drinks are tea and 3 types of pickles.
■The Panorama View Onsen alternates between men and women. / Another onsen is separated for men and women and uses the same time.

IInstandyFukashiso could be one of the loveliest accommodation that I have ever stayed at. The staff were very polite, attentive and extremely helpful and courteous. The place itself is so beautiful and quaint. Traditional garments are provided as an option if you want to dress up for dinner. Made for great photo ops! The Kaiseki was the most beautiful equivalent of a degustation I’ve tried, and it was served in a lovely separate intimate dining area. During dinner Nobu-San a fourth generation family member of the owners greeted us which was a lovely touch. Soba was freshly made at the accomodation. We stayed two nights and the Kaiseki menu was different each time. Breakfast was a nice assortment of Japanese and Western options and the coffee machine was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the onsens, there are two public ones that switch locations for men and women and a private one. They were well equipped and relaxing. Our room was on Level 1 with a private bathroom, seating area and little garden view. Overall this place is highly recommended. For a traditional ryokan experience, it was so nice. Even after we checked out, the receptionist gave us a little gift, and even walked us outside to where our car was parked. Such a warm and lovely place. Stay here for sure!

EElaineVery convenient location a stone throw away from the castle. The parking space is scarce. You may need to park abit further if the nearest ones are taken. Otherwise very comfortable stay with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was pretty good too.

HHuiruAlthough it is a little far from JR station and about 10 minutes walk, the quiet alley is very quiet. There is #soupの Huayi Tang Ruixiang Matsumoto Hall nearby. The hotel provides uninformed food and 3 bicycles to borrow, which is in line with my needs. In the morning, the sun and the sun, I rode a bicycle to Matsumoto City and Matsumoto Museum and Art Museum, which was very beautiful.
