I used it for a family trip during the spring break. There is a charge because I came by car, but I was able to park in the parking lot and go sightseeing at Matsumoto Castle and Matsumoto Station. Great location. Hotel is clean. There's a place to hang out with free flow of drinks and great view of Matsumoto citiy. Room is quite small and basic for the price. As we stayed during peak so price is on the high side. We drove and park at the nearby parking garage as appointed by the hotel at discounted rate. A lot of eateries and shops within walking distance.

I chose this hotel in front of the station for the next day to use a car rental. It is a hotel of the Alpico Transportation Group. The receptionist is on the 2 floor. Check-in requires a machine hand input by yourself, and all payments, card keys and breakfast tickets are out of the machine. So payment is prepaid. It depends on the way of thinking whether it is troublesome or convenient. 1 person 8000 yen with breakfast. There was Wi-Fi, the room and the bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable and there was no particular dissatisfaction. There are also restaurants and taverns in front of the station for dinner, so there is no worry.

Looks nothing from the outside but our one night stay at this hotel was very comfortable and it was such an easy walk to the Matsumoto Castle which we visited in the day and again at night. The bed and pillows were super comfy. The Japanese and Western breakfast served in the beautiful function room was the best we had eaten in our 18 days in Japan. I would highly recommend this hotel to our family, friends and work colleagues visiting Matsumoto.

🌈 We were SUPER THANKFUL for the EXCELLENT location 🤗 It was easy to get to the different places around Matsumoto 👏🏼 However, we were a little disappointed that the double room was a little squeezy as the floor area was small 💬 Even the double bed 🛏️ was actually too small for 2 persons 👤👤 We wanted to book the twin room but it was fully booked during our period of stay 😉 Nonetheless, the hotel was still a huge blessing to us as the location is what matters more to us 🤗 Thank you very much, Staff of Matsumoto 🏆 We enjoyed the yummylicious daily breakfast & complimentary coffee at the lobby of your hotel 🍱 ☕️

Very convenient location, close to Matsumoto station and bus terminal. The hotel size is not big, the breakfast venue is also compact and I thought it was just good for this time. The corona countermeasure was also tight, and the response of the front desk 々 was very pleasant. Wi-Fi was also connected, and the dryer was also ready separately from the equipment. The cleaning is clean and you can spend comfortably overall. 　Toyoko Inn Matsumoto Ekimae Honmachi is located in the central city of Matsumoto City, about 300 ｍ east of Matsumoto Station. The best attraction of this Toyoko Inn is its good location. After seeing Matsumoto Castle, we checked in early and put our car in the hotel parking lot at the same time. Since I am a member of Toyoko Inn, I can check in at ３. After that, I went out for sightseeing in the city, but it was a few minutes walk to Nakamachi Dori and karate Dori, and there were many restaurants nearby, so I could choose a restaurant for dinner. It's not a luxurious hotel because it's Toyoko Inn. However, the inside and the rooms were bright and clean, and the staff were well educated and comfortable.

バスターミナルからのアクセスも良く、どこに行くにも抜群の立地です。 （お部屋や施設） ほとんどが和室の畳です。今年、新しくおしゃれな洋室が2部屋、１Fにできていました。これまであった２段ベッドのお部屋２室は来年、リニューアル予定とのことですが、個人的にはぜひ半分はベッドのお部屋になって頂きたいと希望してやみません！ やはり高齢になれば正座も辛いですし、日本人のほとんどがもうベッド、椅子生活だと感じますし、これからもっとインバウンドが戻ってきたときに観光客の方から感謝されるのではないかと感じます。 コロナ禍のお風呂の人数は4名までとなっていました。入口にあるスリッパの数で認識し、コントロールされていました。 男性の脱衣所にはスキンケアの用意がなく、今は男性でもする時代なのでオールインでいいので用意があると助かります。 配布されるアメニティのセットは五千尺ホテルと同様のようでしたが、歯ブラシのクオリティーをもう少し見直した方が良いと感じました。 すっかり歯茎が悪くなりました。毎日補充の必要ないと思いますので、ぜひクオリティーをアップして頂きたいです。 登山で荷物を少なくしたいので、歯ブラシやアメニティを持参されない方は多いと思います。 上高地は寒いので浴衣ではなく、新しくできた２つのお部屋のようにパジャマだともっと快適に過ごせ、もっとベッドの部屋を多く改装して頂きたいと切に感じます。 なかなか畳の部屋は正座もつらく、敷布団が薄いです。 登山服などを洗う洗濯機や乾燥室、施設内の有料クリーニングはありまえん。これはどこの上高地のホテルも同じだと思います。ただし、小梨ロッジには乾燥室はあるそうです。 登山靴の外履きを用意する必要はありません。ロビーの玄関先にクロックスもどきのご用意があり、これがとても履きやすかったです。このサービスはどこの上高地の宿泊所もそうで、登山リゾートならではです。 星空を見るルーペや傘、カッパ、折りたたみいすの貸し出しなども無料でありました。 暖房は部屋も館内も良くきいており、部屋は調節も可能。部屋以外の施設内は床暖房で快適でした。夏は上高地なのでエアコンがなく、扇風機の貸し出しになるようです。 （食事） お食事は朝、夜ともにビュッフェですが、料理長やスタッフの方々が常時、在庫の確認をされており大変に好印象です。 文句のつけようがないほど丁寧で、どれも本当に美味しいものでした。これがこのロッジの一番誇れる点だと感じます。 ただ、おとうじそばがありましたが、信州なのでもっとそば自体が美味しいものだと良いなと思います。 お味噌汁は信州みそがうずたかく盛られ、そこから好きな味噌をすくい、自身で作るような楽しい方式になっていましたが、コロナ禍だとこの見せ方がもう少し違う方法があっても良いと思いました。 例えばカバーをするなど、子供が素手で触るシーンをみてこれは良くないと感じました。 夕食のデザートでは松本市が誇る、ファイブフォルンと同じミニケーキが食べれます。秋にうかがいましたが、チーズケーキ、モンブラン、シャインマスカットタルトがあり、どれもおいしくてうれしかったです。 夕食時に揚げたての季節の天ぷらが美味しく提供されます。提供方法なのですが、ビュッフェの中央で揚げてくださりとてもいいのですが、食堂に油の香りが充満してしまい、登山後にせっかく気持ちよく入浴させてもらった髪とフレッシュな洋服に油のニオイが強烈についてしまい、それだけが嫌な点でした。 客から注文を取ってから揚げていること、また、繁忙時には同様にビュッフェスタイルになっているので、厨房で揚げてから提供でも良いのではと感じました。 大きな天ぷら鍋の上には換気扇がないので、油の香りで具合が悪くなる時がありました。 すごく良いプレゼンテーションだと思いますが、少しだけ工夫があるとうれしいです！ ランチにはテラスでホットサンドを自身で作り食べれるような楽しいサービスもありましたが、通りに面するのでやっている方は見ませんでした。 よいサービスだと思ったのですが、もう少し工夫があると我々もやってみたいと感じました。 若い女性の方でとても接客が上手な方がおられ、素敵でした。 （予約） ラインから行うのが一番オトクなようで、ホテル独自のポイントが積算され、翌年もそれを利用することが可能なようです。 横のスイーツ屋さんの冷凍アップルパイ（ホール）や宿泊券がもらえるようなので、とてもよい試みだと感じました。頂きましたアップルパイはとても美味しく感謝しております。 時期によってはとてもリーズナブルなので、このロッジはとてもおススメです。 最後にフロントのお若い皆さんが本当に親切でした。心から仕事を楽しんでいるように見えました。 交通の事や、山の知識はもう少しだけ準備があると助かるなと思う場面がありました。ぜひ上高地のプロとしてよろしくお願いします！ インスタグラムなども頑張っており、非常に好印象です。 玄関前の素敵なイラストはどなたが描かれているのでしょうか、とても素敵でした。 フロント横にロッジのオリジナルグッツがありましたが、五千尺ホテルのようにモンベルなどとコラボレーションがあると楽しいです。正直あまり欲しいものがなかったです。 ロッジの向かいに五千尺ホテル横の土産屋があり、こちらで使える5％の割引券がもらえます。（何度でも利用可能）五千尺ホテルの宿泊だと10％割引なので同じにしてくれると嬉しいですね。 今年の紅葉のピークは10月中旬から下旬。カラマツの黄金色の11月初旬まで楽しめます。この後からホテルは安価になっていき、閉山を迎えます。この時期もおすすめです。 上高地にはATMがありませんので、ご注意を。これはずっと変わらない事実です。
