3-Star Hotels in Matsumoto

Pretty nice hotel at a convenient location (only 6 minutes walking from Matsumoto station). Amenities are aplenty, with ample washing machines/dryers and hot springs, sauna and cold pools. Free ice cream during the afternoon/night and yakult in the morning are plus points. Complimentary hot ramen at night is great as well. Many places to eat after hours nearby. Also comes with free mango pudding upon arrival in the fridge, which is nice. Nice place to stay if you are planning to go to Kamikochi or just go around Matsumoto yourself or with loved ones.

Awesome hotel. Very clean with all amenities you can imagine, like face masks, drip coffee, green tea, bathing salt, creams, lotions, toothbrush and much more! Very friendly staff. Parking was easy just beside the hotel in a parking Tower which costs 1200¥. Perfect location. All major attractions of Matsumoto are close by.

My return visit to the hotel as it was a very convenient place for short stay before venturing to the alpine hiking trails. This time, I managed to enjoy the natural Onsen at another hotel, which was free. It included free transport transferr and towel.

The staff were all extremely helpful and the facility itself was well maintained. The room was particularly large and the amenities were first class. The buffet breakfast was quite weighted towards the Japanese side but there were also other options. Great stay. Would highly recommend.

I arrived late at night, but the front desk staff was very polite. It rained and my bag got wet, so they lent me a towel, which was very helpful! I think this is a very hospitable and attractive hotel! About the large public bath For women, a lock number is required for security. You will be given a paper with an explanation and number when you check in. It is open until midnight, and the floor of the bath is made of cypress-like wood and has a clean feel. The changing room is small but clean. The water is hot, but it was just right for a body chilled by the rain. There were plenty of amenities, including a water server for hydration, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and milk lotion. *Towels are not available in the large public bath. You will need to bring them from your room, so be careful about that. About breakfast Everything was delicious, and perhaps because it was homemade, the seasoning was just right, not too strong. There was a partition between the single seats, like at Ichiran Ramen, which was appreciated for traveling alone. The staff served the kenchinjiru and rice, so the portions were even and we were able to enjoy local cuisine and ingredients. The kenchinjiru, apple and agar jelly, ginger tsukudani, and shishamo were delicious! There are still many places I want to go to in Matsumoto, so I'd like to come here again next time ☺️

🌈 We were SUPER THANKFUL for the EXCELLENT location 🤗 It was easy to get to the different places around Matsumoto 👏🏼 However, we were a little disappointed that the double room was a little squeezy as the floor area was small 💬 Even the double bed 🛏️ was actually too small for 2 persons 👤👤 We wanted to book the twin room but it was fully booked during our period of stay 😉 Nonetheless, the hotel was still a huge blessing to us as the location is what matters more to us 🤗 Thank you very much, Staff of Matsumoto 🏆 We enjoyed the yummylicious daily breakfast & complimentary coffee at the lobby of your hotel 🍱 ☕️

I really loved my time at Park Lodge Kamikochi, it was truly magical and I can’t believe our luck in finding this place. Location is great, very near to the bus terminal and starting point for many treks. The main areas and the rooms were simple, well-designed and very comfortable. Although note that there is no air conditioning in the room as the weather is already cool. The food was the best part, a delicious variety of offerings, including a live grill! My friends and I were amazed and felt like we got great value and experience out of this stay. The staff were mostly friendly, but we were once suspected of trespassing the premises. However, it was one-off and not a problem as they might experience non-guests entering. Overall, a fantastic experience that I highly recommend.

The facilities are a bit old. The hotel as a whole is not big. The price is average. However, it is convenient and convenient. It takes only five to ten minutes to get to the JR station, and it takes only ten minutes to go to Matsumoto Castle. There are seven convenience stores next door.
