There are buses from Matsumoto Station to Asama Onsen. Different routes have different stops. You can get off at Maema Onsen Entrance or Kosengen Square. Asama Onsen is known as a declining hot spring town. I personally think you don't need to stay here unless necessary. The hot springs are average, the hotel prices are not low, and the cost performance is very low.

It was a regular Japanese-style room on the top floor with an area of ​​8 tatami mats (35 m2). This room is a very ordinary room, but there are a few stairs leading down to the room from the entrance, so please be careful when choosing a room if you have difficulty walking. There are three open-air private baths on the 5th floor and a large bath on the 1st floor, and I enjoyed both the private bath and the large bath. It was a hot spring that was soft to the touch. You can enjoy your meals in a semi-private room without worrying about being seen. Although both dinner and breakfast could not be called luxurious, they were reasonably sized and delicious. In the evening, events such as concerts are held from around 8 o'clock, so music lovers may enjoy it. I visited here to relieve the fatigue of the past year, and I was satisfied with the hot springs and food. Although it is a long-established inn, it is clean, quiet, and comfortable.
