We stayed here as a couple at the end of July. As the inn's introduction says, it's not a hospitality inn, but an inn for climbers. We stayed here because we wanted to take a leisurely stroll around Kamikochi. My husband liked the location because there are a lot of tourists and it's noisy near the bus terminal. We woke up at 5am and went for a walk to see the morning mist over the river and the monkeys. We booked a private room, but there was no TV, refrigerator, or tissues. You have to lay your own futon. The facilities inside the building are relatively new and clean. There is no air conditioning, and it's so cool in the mornings and evenings that you'll want a sweatshirt even in the middle of summer. There are not many side dishes for breakfast and dinner. If you ask the day before, they will make you a bento for breakfast. The bath was nice, but unfortunately we couldn't use the morning bath. It seems that you can see Mt. Myojin. You can borrow a hair dryer at the front desk. Wi-Fi is available, but the lights are turned off at 9:30pm. There are only a few inns, so it was high season and I don't think it's a good idea to pay a high price.
