The hotel is in a very good location, close to Kappa Bridge, and it is very pleasant to take a walk in the morning and evening when there are few people. The room is large enough, clean and warm. The front desk and restaurant services are good, and the breakfast and dinner are good. There is also live music in the evening. The only thing I don’t like is that the mountain view room has no view from the hotel. It is a small parking lot for hotel employees, but I have never seen a river view room here on Ctrip. But this is not a big deal, the scenery is amazing as soon as you leave the hotel.

The hotel is located just 5 minutes away from Kappa Bridge. From the central point, you can go to Taisho Pond or Myojin Pond separately, so you don’t have to spend a whole day chasing them.
Hotel reservations include breakfast and dinner. Although there are not many varieties, they are all local seasonal ingredients. Hotel staff can communicate in English and are polite.
Since most hotels in Kamikochi are fully booked during the red leaf season, I booked the remaining female beds for me. The experience was similar to that of a Japanese youth hostel. The room hygiene and beds were better than expected.
