The only two disadvantages are: 1. Take a shower outdoors. Fortunately it is May. I can’t imagine how cold it will be in winter. 2. You need to pay extra to eat Wagyu Kaiseki dinner Everything else is very good, with a private bath and a stunning view

I stayed in a Western-style room with an open-air bath, 301. It has a high ceiling, a modern Japanese interior, a spacious open-air bath, and a spacious shower space, and the overall atmosphere is spacious and open. The spring quality is good and the skin is smooth. The view of Lake Shinji from the room also creates a sense of openness. Meals are served in private rooms, so you can relax. Everything is delicious and each dish is beautiful. You can choose your yukata, and there are various sizes available in the room, so you can change into one for sleeping and one for eating, which is comfortable. The staff were all polite and the high quality service made it easy to stay. I would like to use this facility again when I go to Matsue.

This was my first stay at an inn in Shimane Prefecture, and I stayed at Naniwa Issui. The room was on the corner of the 5th floor. Lake Shinji could be seen from the balcony at night. The room was very clean and spacious. The hot spring attached to the room was also spacious and great. There was an ethanol fireplace on the balcony, and at night I enjoyed a drink while watching the fire. The room was just too nice. The TV was 80 inches! The sun set over Lake Shinji in the evening, and a rainbow in the morning. It was a really wonderful inn.

Stayed in the Cloud room with a private onsen in the balcony facing an awesome view of the lake. Room was clean and spacious with a generous supply of amenities. Visited the public bath as well but was nothing impressive. Beer and yakult was provided free of charge in the hotel lobby. Note that if you are traveling with young children, they change an extra ¥2500 per child just for them to be in the room, no extra beds provided and breakfast is a separate charge. Breakfast served was exquisite and in a private dining room which we appreciate. Overall nice experience but just one night is enough as the town is very quiet and the room price is very steep.
