We passed Tamatsukuri Onsen on the way and chose Matsunoyu Ryokan. We booked a one-night stay with two meals on Ctrip. Everything was warm and comfortable. The hotel provides shuttle bus service to JR Tamatsukuri Onsen Station. You can ask Ctrip customer service to help you make the reservation. The best thing about the hotel is the buffet dinner, which is very good and highly recommended.

The building is old, but appears to have been renovated.
Depending on the room, the view from the window may not be great.

A nice hot spring hotel. There is a bar in the hotel which is open until 2400. It is refreshing to have two drinks after taking a hot spring bath.
Breakfast and dinner are buffet style, with Japanese, Western and desserts, as well as local Shimane specialties. You can also purchase additional wines, so you can try Japanese sake from different wineries in the Shimane area at once.

All dinners were delicious and the quantity was more than enough. However, as soon as we were seated, the grill and pot were turned on, so the meat ended up getting burnt or overcooked before we could finish the appetizers and sashimi we wanted to eat first. If you could adjust the timing a little more, I wouldn't say much. Every side dish at the breakfast buffet was really delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In particular, the French toast was the most delicious I've ever eaten!
