The service, hot springs, and rooms were all very good. The hot spring was a lovely open-air bath that felt like you were in a bamboo forest. For breakfast, you were free to serve rice made from Nitama rice and clam soup, but grilled fish and many other small dishes were individually prepared, so it was a luxurious and delicious morning. The portions were so large that I couldn't finish it. It was also fun to walk around Tamasakuyu Shrine and Yuyakushi Square, which are close by. Although the plan only included breakfast, there were bars called Ryuto and Sobatomi nearby, so I didn't have any trouble finding dinner. Both were cheap and delicious. There are frequent buses to Matsue Castle and Matsue Station from a nearby bus stop. There is also one round trip bus to Izumo Taisha Shrine, but it leaves from the same bus stop, so it's a very convenient location for sightseeing. It was a great inn that made me glad I came to Shimane.
