We had a disappointing experience at this villa, despite confirming all details prior to our booking. Upon our arrival, when we placed our food order, a staff member informed us that we were required to order snacks (bites) before any food could be served. This came as a complete surprise since no such policy had been mentioned during the booking process. When I inquired if this was an official policy, the staff member attributed it to the owner's wife. Shortly after, she approached us, claiming it was for our "convenience" as preparing food would take time. We assured her that we were fine waiting, and the matter seemed resolved. However, about 15 minutes later, the owner himself insisted that we must order snacks before any food, stating that "in every place, people should order snacks before ordering food." This so-called policy felt absurd, as it forced us to make purchases we didn’t choose. When I pointed out that we hadn't been informed of this beforehand, the owner became aggressive, instructing his staff to enforce this rule for future guests as if the staff were at fault for not informing us earlier. This encounter completely ruined the relaxing atmosphere we had anticipated and left us feeling frustrated. We came to the villa to unwind, not to be pressured into unnecessary purchases. Such practices reflect poorly on customer service and create unnecessary stress for guests looking for peace of mind. If you’re considering staying at this villa, be prepared for unexpected and unusual policies that might affect your experience. Consider this carefully if you value your comfort and freedom during your stay.
