Amazing staff, the lady that was in charge while the owner was away did her proud!

We had a mix up about the Pet Friendly Policies. So call and make sure when booking through ******* that the actual room is Pet Friendly, as I believe there is only one available. We were accommodated, but it was not a pleasant experience or stay. Room was clean however, and it was fine for the one night we were there.

I don’t often share poor reviews, but felt I needed to in this case. This room was one of the worst rooms I have ever stayed in. The shower was completely filled with mold, there is no outside window or lock in the inside door. There have been no upgrades to the room, no TV, etc. We paid $200 for this room, if the charge would have been $50 I would not be writing this review. I feel like we were duped. This is not a review about ownership or any future intentions to potentially upgrade the motel. Where it stands currently is unacceptable to have people stay for a cost. I don’t have high expectations and understand my limitations in Masset, however this place is in such disrepair it should be considered uninhabitable. I apologize for this terrible review. $200 for this room was the worst part of our entire trip on the island. If ownership would like to contact me to discuss further, I will make myself available.

We really liked how close it was to everything. Very quiet and accomodating. Cindy was an excellent host.

At over $400 for two nights, the cost was completely disconnected from the condition of the building. Stained curtains, old carpets, stale air and ancient, mouldy soaps long forgotten in the bathroom medicine mirror cabinet. We we also told that a load of laundry would be $30! That said, the staff is very lovely and they're working hard to breath new life into this hotel. I hope they make it.

The high reviews on this accommodation refer only to the friendly hosts. The rest of the motel is not to the standard you would expect. the beds/pillows are old, the linen and window curtains are threadbare. the location is not close to any surf as one of their pictures seems to indicate- it is located on the edge of town adjacent to a dumptruck parking lot. The owners are gradually renovating but up against lack of skilled tradesmen and supplies. Perhaps in a year or so it might be better. for now the price being charged per night, while less than other places is too high for what is being offered.

Hotel needs, and is receiving updates and renos as it was closed for several years. If you're looking for 5 star experience this isn't for you. If you value kind freindly people that will go out of their way to accommodate anything, and can put up with the rustic atmosphere then it is a must stay. I look forward to my next visit to see the progress!!!
