Radisson Blu Resort, Gran Canaria

Our stay at this hotel was a delightful experience, perfect for a peaceful family holiday. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade from a one-bedroom deluxe suite to a spacious two-bedroom suite, complete with a jacuzzi on the balcony. The upgrade elevated our stay, and the stunning sea views from the balcony were breathtaking, offering a serene backdrop to our vacation. The resort itself is quiet and well-suited for families seeking relaxation over lively entertainment. If you’re after nightlife or hotel-organized activities, this might not be the place, as the focus here is on tranquility. The calm atmosphere was exactly what we needed, making it an ideal spot for unwinding. Overall, the hotel delivered a fantastic family-friendly experience with exceptional service and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended for those looking to recharge in a peaceful setting.

Another good quality hotel from Radisson. We have stayed at the Radisson in Mogan and this compares very well. All rooms are sea view ( this is why it’s more expensive) and the grounds are well kept. As always the hotel is clean and tidy with the advantage of a Spar shop on site with normal prices. Our two bedroom suite was huge and comfortable and our maid was very attentive. The staff here are always happy even more so if you bother to interact with them especially the lady on the cooking station (sorry I have forgotten her name). Our bed was very comfortable and large, as is standard with Radisson hotels and because we are members we had a lovely bottle of Cava in our room with some chocolate bars, always a nice touch. Fresh water every day and the coffee pods replaced so no need to bring additional ones if like me, you like coffee. The swimming pools are a lovely temperature but need a little bit of a clean in places, as do the parasols, which are a bit tired and could do with replacing. There are matrices for the sun beds which makes for a comfortable day by the pool. The food was fine and of good quality but this is not an all inclusive so a bit more limited for choice but perfectly adequate and we had many a good meal, breakfast always good. The hotel is in a convenient position, with perfect access to the beach and restaurants. We would definitely come back again and a big thank you to the staff, a very relaxing holiday.

This was our first visit to this Radisson having previously stayed at the one in Puerto Mogan. Overall it is a really high standard, that I believe to be a 5 star experience. When I look at a review I break it into the hotel standard and facilities, the staff/service, the room, the location and food which is of course balanced with the price you pay. For transparency we paid for a 2 room suite but were fortunate enough to get upgraded to a 3 bedroomed one which was simply enormous. Huge bedrooms, own kitchen, 20m balcony with a hot tub and a view overlooking the ocean. Waking up and falling asleep to the sound of waves was until this holiday a dream, thank you. The hotel itself has everything we needed from pools, abundance of loungers, cocktail bar (barman is a genius), restaurants, tennis courts and a decent gym. The gem for us was the spar shop on the second floor which meant everything we needed was on site and very good quality/value. So we made our lunch most days and even a couple of evening meals which we ate on the terrace. The ladies that work there are just incredible. All the staff at the hotel are super professional and very helpful, dealing with requests for assistance immediately. Cleaning is of the very highest of standards. One top tip is go to Lievitando (see separate review) the most incredible Italian restaurant a 10 min walk from the hotel. It is hidden away, situated above the Mariposa Spa but very much worth the walk and you will end up going many many times. Overall I would throughly recommend the hotel, and close off with a huge thank you to the staff for making our stay a memorable one.

Staff very good and try to accommodate any request. TLC touches needed in rooms ie light fitting needing secured and grouting redone. Balcony door offline and gap when closed. Plenty of sunbeds with papped cushions to put on top, no towel wars. Food good choice to suit all.
