My husband and I wanted to go somewhere different for breakfast rather than the usual spots on Yarm High Street. Well what can I say but wow! A beautiful mansion house with stunning surroundings, even better with the sun shining so we could sit on the terrace. We were slightly away from the usual restaurant setting, but we weren’t forgotten, Martin and Gloria looked after us wonderfully and thought about every little detail. The menu was something else, with imaginative twists to some classic dishes which I’ve never seen elsewhere, making it difficult to choose, so we very much welcomed Martin’s recommendations. Beautiful to look at and packed full of flavour, the food was phenomenal. Uttapam with the coconut chutney being my personal fave, I nearly asked them to bottle up some chutney to take home it was that good! My husband and I both agreed we could have sat there all day, relaxing and enjoying a charcuterie board and wine later in the day. Maybe next time! Thank you Crathorne Hall for being our new favourite breakfast destination!

From start to finish on our 2 day break we enjoyed every. Staff were all so friendly and competent without exception. We ate in on one night and had the 7 course menu and tasting flight with bigger portions and better quality than so many fine dining establishments. Loved having filled Yorkshire pudding for breakfast as well

Excellent food, superb staff who go above and beyond especially Martin and Gloria. Always a warm welcome and would highly recommend going for lunch or dinner or just a sandwich which we have with a gorgeous large pot of leaf tea.

We recently enjoyed a wonderful 2-night stay at Crathorne Hall Hotel in Yarm as a family of four, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. We stayed in the Leven room, which offered beautiful views overlooking the lawn — peaceful, elegant, and the perfect setting to relax and recharge. What really made our stay stand out was the impeccable service throughout the hotel. Every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for. Krista, the manager, was warm, professional, and went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect. El, who wore many hats as both service staff and groundsman, was incredibly kind and attentive — a real credit to the hotel. Steven the housekeeper kept everything spotless and was always cheerful and helpful - my 10 year old son had a real soft spot for him. And the breakfast team — every single one of them — provided exceptional service. I was genuinely blown away by how well they treated my children. From the moment we arrived, the staff made them feel special and included. It’s rare to find a luxury hotel that’s also so family-friendly without compromising on quality or atmosphere, but Crathorne Hall strikes that balance beautifully. We left feeling refreshed, cared for, and already talking about our next visit. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable — we can’t wait to return!

Crathorne Hall Hotel is cut from a different cloth with stunning grounds and an amazing history. Be sure to wander around the grounds and explore the rooms and artworks. Lovely service, food and drinks. Huge thanks to Martin who made Anna and I so welcome and took the time to share his extensive knowledge and fascinating stories. Definitely recommended for a visit or stay :)

I had lunch at Crathorne Hall Hotel today as part of a business meeting and it was absolutely first class. The setting is beautiful, the food was exceptional and the service was flawless from start to finish. A special mention goes to Martin, who looked after us with genuine warmth and professionalism, he really made the experience extra special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality dining experience in a stunning location.

We visited for an early afternoon tea. The drive up to the hotel is lovely and we loved the room where tea was served. All 4 sandwiches were very good : Cucumber & cream cheese Salmon & creme fraise Ham & mustard Egg mayo I was wary of the sausage roll with apricot as I’m not usually fond of fruit with meat, but it was lovely. We felt the scones were overdone - crunchy rather than crumbly. Generous portions of jam and clotted cream. Unusual selection of cakes - all very different. I was surprised that I really enjoyed the rhubarb choux and the chocolate orange bomb was gorgeous. The service was attentive with refills on our coffee brought without having to chase.

Enjoyed our 13th wedding anniversary at the Crathorne Hall Hotel. We stayed two nights from 13-14 May and checked out on Thursday, 15 May. The Staff was amazing, the minute we checked in and out, we had drinks in the bar, service was Excellent, and we dined in a restaurant for two nights, and we enjoyed the food on both nights. We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff, Alan and Boiwa Hanna Tia, and the kitchen team, Matt, as well as reception, Krista, and Emma, and Alice, and Byron, you look after us on our last night, thanks to Gloria for the service. Afternoon tea and breakfast on both mornings, thanks to Victoria booking for our room, stephen, me, Caroline, and the whole team were amazing, thanks to Claire for making our 13th wedding anniversary cake, it was beautiful for us
