Red Roof Inn Martinsburg

Was very disappointed in this hotel. The sheets have blood stains on them. The pillows are not full, the floor turned my socks brown, the floors are also sticky. There are roaches. We stayed 2 nights thursday and Friday, had no service on our room Friday. Went out Friday morning came back at 5 no clean towels, the trash was still in rooms, beds not made. Went to front desk he gave me clean towels after I gave him dirty towels. Gave me a trash bag and told me where outside trash cans were.

Check in should have been a clue… Posted in a few places stated that they DO NOT rent to LOCALS. Good to know it wasn’t a rent by hour place. The woman who checked me is was nice. Easy check in. The room smelled a little musty. But appeared to be clean. The towels, on the other hand were yellow and dingy looking. And there was a dirty towel hanging behind the bathroom door. I’m happy I bring my own towels when I travel. The bedding was clean (I hope) I was on the first floor room 112 and the room above me sounded as if there were a herd of buffalos running wild. I honestly thought the ceiling was going to cave in. I was just about to call and ask for a room change then, the herd settled down. The bed was comfortable and I had planned on sleeping in before heading back on the road. However, the buffalos had other plans and they began to run wild around 5 am. So I got dressed and left.. I was wide awake. This Red Roof does not have a continental breakfast, nor was the coffee ready. When I checked out, I did mention to them that the people above me were complete butts! He apologized. Not much they can do.

Pillows smaller than normal size. Graffiti painted on headboards. Sparkling and shower patches. Bath tub doesn't work for a bath. Asked for more towels for shower. 2 towels, 1 wash cloth,1 bath mat towel. I was told they needed old used towels before giving new ones.

Wouldn't stay there again. I had to switch rooms twice as the first room was dirty, a dirty face cloth was left in the room, lock on the door didn't work, the bathroom door was smashed and broken the sheets and floor were dirty as if the room was never cleaned. Lamps broken and shades stained. The second room wasn't much better. The entire place was dirty and smelled bad. There was no hot water. Spoke to the Manager Justin for a partial refund as they knowingly took my money knowing there was no hot water. I had friends traveling with me a the same issues.

My husband, our cat and I stayed at the Red Roof Inn for unfortunately a few weeks. My husband had made the reservation for a few weeks and I arrived the week after. I went shopping the first day for a blanket, cleaning supplies and pillows. The blanket had cigarette burn marks and the pillow cases had something nasty on them. We were under a budget constraint to stay there. The swiffer we bought i used 8 pads to finally get the floor partially clean. The TV was terrible and the cable didn't work half the time. They have people staying there for years and years and one of them has a big dog that has fights at nite. I was so upset hearing the fighting outside my window. The shower worked some of the time and the maintenance and cleaning is awful. They can clean the whole floor in 2 hours???? The maintenance is terrible too. They even had me take my trash down to the dumpster. Not sure what we paid for staying there. The elevator didn't work for 2 days and they had to carry the patrons to their second and third floor rooms. There definitely needs to be some people in charge to clean up the mess at the Martinsburg location.
