Adam at union square bistro held and coordinated our winter wedding with the Martinborough Hotel. The big dining hall is beautiful, we didn’t need any decorations as it’s perfect as it is! The building is a luxurious heritage building so is VERY picturesque. It was the perfect venue for our wedding, photo opportunities Everywhere and the garden and courtyard was so pretty! The food was amazing and generous amounts. The buffet set up worked perfectly and was well presented. Our day was perfect with no stress at all, thanks to Adam! He took care of everything and made it so easy for us, nothing was a hassle and the staff were all cheerful and nice to everyone! Highly recommend for a wedding venue or a meal out or accommodation, they nailed it!

Great spot for a getaway. Excellent Suite behind main building. Very good restaurant and pub, been there many times. Hotel is walking distance to some wineries or a short drive to many others.

A group of 16 stayed over the weekend, some in the hotel and some in the apartments. Check in was a breeze - efficient and friendly. Our apartment was a great room, but next to the laundry, which dictated morning rising! We booked a private dining room for a function on the Saturday night, with a set menu. Some initial challenges were dealt with easily by very good staff, and the event was seamless. For wait staff these events can be a challenge, and I’m sure there were some, but we had a waiter who seemed unflappable, and who worked incredibly hard to ensure we had the best the hotel could offer. This was a great weekend, made possible by a very professional operation.

Generous and comfortable room with en-suite. Restaurant and bistro/ bar both excellent. The tariff was very reasonable for the quality of accommodation. Excellent staff.

This is a piece of history. The centre of town and at the heart of everything. Perfect location and has private parking. The decor is period and tasteful. The rooms are large and have tradition high ceilings, wooded floors etc. It takes you back to another era - you imagine that not much has changed. The breakfast was also really good - the best I had on my visit to NZ.

Brilliant meal. Food was excellent. Good service, would definitely visit again. The Risotto was amazing. Came through to enjoy the wineries on a long weekend, and ended it with a visit here. Weather turned it on! See you again next time! I hope that's 200 by now.

Called in for a quick drink and glad we did. The barman was welcoming and very knowledgeable about their products. Great atmosphere and great selection of wine and beers. First visit to Martinborough and loved the vibe. Didn’t eat but great menu. Highly recommend

Yummy food and drinks all very nicely price. Lovely old pub with a fun interesting decor. Wait staff are friendly and welcoming. Lots of places to sit and enjoy your meal. Pays to book for the restaurant side. We ate in the bar. It was fantastic.

Beautiful vintage property with very stylish furnishings & a lot of history The rooms were well sized & well decorated & very comfortable. The restaurant had a good selection of food & wines.A very relaxing stay & the staff was. Bonus to this hotel
