Stayed here with 10 friends (5 rooms) on Sunday June 22, 2025. Each room has similar issues. Check-in was less than helpful. Put us in a room that was already used. Had to switch after unloading all our gear. New room lacked towels and no hangers (no hangers in all the rooms). Had to get towels from another room. Check in agent was always in her truck in the parking lot talking on the phone and not available. Frig in our room did not work. Fire alarm kept going on all night long. Everybody in the hallways all the time due to fire alarm. Then they turned the alarm off so not sure that is legal since in case of a real fire we would not know. Then there was the train that went by every hour so waking us up. Reception area was under construction so no place to eat the very minimal breakfast they tried to provide on 2 tiny tables. I left 5 messages over 5 days the following week to the manager and owner to request a discount but have not heard back. Only rooms on the 3rd floor due to some issues with renovation. Very small and slow elevator. Would not recommend staying there if at all possible. Might be better to camp out.

We were put in a smoking room, walls were visibly dirty and yellow. Used hand sanitizer to wipe down table and chairs and rag was disgustingly dirty. Plus side- staff was friendly and did bring us a air purifier to use

Very limited options around these parts, so despite booking far ahead, paid an overpriced rate. Reviews talking about good staff led me to choose the Brookshire. The front desk people were nice and helpful. Rooms are simple and of serviceable quality. Everything worked. Only problem was the useless WiFi. Connection is not through the standard WiFi/Password route, but through the Brookshire Inns (It is a chain of two.) website. This is sketchy and makes me wonder who is logging my keystrokes/logins/passwords/etc. This did not become a problem however, because the connection was much too slow to actually do any work. Used my phone as a hot-spot for a couple of essentials, but had to put two nights of work on hold while I was here. No excuse in 2022 that a hotel WiFi connection is slower than a phone line, or that it does not have secure internet connection. Two stars for serviceable room, nice staff.

They had nothing for breakfast. Just some thawed out frozen waffles, some weird doughnuts in a bag, plain yogurt, make yourself oatmeal, OJ and coffee. That was it. Gross!!!
