This is a great option when having a dinner and drinks nearby at Field and Main. We decided that, rather than driving home, we would just stay the night in Marshall and are very glad we did. The building is old and has all the quirky charm of an old building, but with the modern appointments. The bed and bathroom were quality and the common area (stocked with chips and some drinks) was a nice option to feel like you have more space than just a room. It's not exactly a Bed and Breakfast, since there was no breakfast, but several options were available in walking distance. We went to a local diner and had a nice breakfast before checking out some of the nearby antique stores. We will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful place to stay in Marshall. We were a group of three couples who rented all the rooms for an evening. The Common Room was a great feature for us to hang out and play games, and fully stocked with snacks, water, coffee, tea and other drink options.

This was a really cute place to stay for the night. We were attending a party in a nearby town so did not spend much time in our room but it was beautifully furnished with lots of nice little touches. The common area had snacks tea coffee water and soda. It was very quiet and parking was easy. The little town is cute too!

My husband and I recently stayed at The Rosemary after I found it on my hotel search in the Marshall, VA area. We had plans the next day to see a friend of mine before continuing on our road trip, and this was located just down the street from where we were meeting. Leah from The Rosemary was fantastic - she and I communicated efficiently, our room was paid before I even checked in, all of our check-in information was emailed ahead of time, and she also left us a lovely note with a bottle of wine and glasses for when we arrived. I'm pretty sure we were the only ones there (we never saw or heard anyone else on our Thursday night stay), so it was lovely, private and somewhat secluded. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and we even made due without a TV for the night. The floors are creaky (as you'd expect from a building from the 1800s!), and the staircase to The Rooms Up There is a bit tight with luggage, but we didn't mind (we were smarter the next day and carried only a couple of things down at a time). The green doors with gold clovers to the rooms are a nice touch, and the snacks/drinks provided in the common room across the hall were very welcome! The room had beautiful marble bathrooms with glass and tile shower, it was very spacious, and had comfortable beds. In our room, we were also given great recommendations for dining. There's a few wonderful places nearby for food: Red Truck Bakery (across the street - try the strawberry cream cheese croissant), The Whole Ox (just down the street - a butcher and specialty shop with AMAZING burgers and fries!), and King Street Oyster Bar (a short drive away in Middleburg). For being on the main street, it was incredibly quiet. The price was great too, and worth every cent paid. If we are ever needing a place to stay in the area again, we'll 100% be staying at The Rosemary!

Worst staff! They were clearly pompous and full of themselves and bragging about over charging people. I found roaches on the property too! The owner Melissa talked about her time in DC on Jan 6th. This place is just disgusting.

For the price you might want to consider the nearby Salamander - way more amenities, facilities, room options, and dining options. Beautiful grounds to roam and fully inclusive atmosphere, unfortunately lacking at the Rosemary.
