We checked in in the morning, which we were very grateful to them for allowing us to do. Everyone was so kind and helpful even after we realized there was a problem with our reservation. They worked with us and never tried to charge us for the mistake even though they certainly could have (especially when it took a few days for our travel agent to fix it). The food was delicious, every single person was friendly and helpful. We also got massages at the spa and were so happy and relaxed. They even held our luggage for free for a few days while we went on an excursion. The rooms they gave us for the second half of our stay were even nicer than the first. They were in the process of filing the pool and we really enjoyed sitting out by it even though they were laying even more pretty tile (the hotel is very beautiful as it is, even nicer than the pictures). I will say the internet passwords kept expiring which was annoying, but they always gave us a new code without any issue except the minor inconvenience. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at hotel chems from the 31st of December for six consecutive days for the new year. This was my second time in Marrakech but my mum's first time. The location is second to none within a few minutes walk to the square and also many other local attractions. On arrival we were told that we needed to check in from 3:00 p.m. we'd got there early but were able to drop off our bags and then go out exploring. The hotel itself is a little outdated, however it is very clean. Staff are very good, welcoming and attentive, room sizes good and price good. Bedrooms made up everyday, towels changed, cleaned throughout. Pool towels available for free at pool. We stopped between December and January, that is a very good size pool approximately 25 m. However it is very cold but still accessible plenty of seating areas for drinks and snacks. There are plenty of sun lounges around the poolside as well as in the grass area. Breakfast is served daily which is included within the cost and there was ample choice a selection of eggs, Cereals, yogurts a little fruit, many pastries, etc. The hotel also has a snack bar and does offer evening meals. We did not take any evening meals here. We did have snacks during the day. Things like salads, pizzas, burgers, etc. The food was good. As the hotel was very close to the local area, we were able to walk although it was close to a taxi rank. If you should need this. Within 1 minute walk to Koutobia mosque, then about 5 mins to jem so fnaa square, Cyber park short walk ( nice to visit) near royal mansour Marrakech, Around 40 mins walk is the beautiful menara :) There is also complex artisan is about 10 minutes walk maximum full of things to buy As you come out of the hotel grounds, if you do a left you will find a park on the left hand side ( Koutobia). You can walk straight through this to the main road to take a shorter route to places. There is plenty of opportunities for walking and running. It is very safe to run alone. When we were there the sunrose at about 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. and the mornings were cool. During the daytime, you can expect temperatures of around 18° c in December and January plenty warm enough if you are from England. We had a walking tour that I arranged before we went through TripAdvisor. It was very good. We also booked the waterfalls trip. This was okay. I also took a hot air balloon trip which was amazing. All of these were booked online instead of at the hotel. There was no particular reason not to book at the hotel. I just didn't realise that there was somebody on site to do this before travelling. The reception is manned 24 hours, 7 days a week. On New year's Eve, we was welcomed with a show and dinner from 7:30 p.m. full entertainment and several courses for a meal and drinks. Starting with Positives, Hotel garden and pool areas are very beautiful and our room Opera Suite was really spacious and elegantly decorated with lots of storage space. Hotel location is good just outside of key attractions and markets. Also breakfast was very good with multiple live cooking stations and large variety of high quality items. Check-in was very quick and efficient. But behind this beautiful surface, hotel has major issue with the service as many other reviewers have also pointed out, so seem management is not acting on the issues noted in these reviews. Let me give some highlights: In the breakfast you are asked for coffee and orange juice when you arrive, but after this it is impossible to get refills. Even if you manage to get hold of one waiter, there is no change they will actually bring something. Last morning I tested and waited 20 mins after my order, but then left with the family... One evening we arrive in hotel around 18 and asked door staff how long pools are open, we were told that until 8PM, we went to pool around 18.45 and some 5-6 other travelers on pool, but no towels. We asked the pool staff for towels and they said they will bring, but then 19 all the staff left and no towels were delivered! And thirdly on the morning we were checking out I was asking reception that they would collect our luggage at certain time, but gentleman behind the desk said i need to call the porter when I want to get them to be picked. Seem even this kind of small task is too much for them to do! I could continue with many more examples...well matching with other reviews. So if you like to wonder around wet in the dark corridors after the swim and are happy to take care of you own luggage and do not need 2nd cup of coffee this is your hotel;) Otherwise I would select some other option. And finally if someone in hotel actually reads these reviews I am still waiting clarification of extra 130eur charge on my bill. I have now asked 3 times for the receipt to check what this charge is so I can see if is ok. Next request goes directly to Accor Legal and the CEO. JARI

The hotel is located in the heart of the old town. Close to an ancient tomb that is more than 500 years old. There are many people visiting every day. This hotel can be said to be called Taoyuan in the city, but the surrounding environment is not very good. According to the waiter, the hotel started building a new building in 2002 and first bought a house, and later bought eight more. The owner, a Frenchman, renovated the nine houses as a whole and connected them together. The design is very elegant, reflecting the Moroccan national style. Every detail is very delicate and can be called a work of art. The three-story roof is covered with flowers and various layouts. Very novel. It feels extremely cozy. The hotel's food and beverage varieties are relatively small and the taste is average, not as good as other nine points. The price is not cheap either. Overall, this hotel is quite unique. Staying for a day or two is no problem.

We had a great stay. Clean and nice room with comfy bed. Breakfast by the pool was great. Staffs were nice and friendly especially the door gentleman! Check-in was a bit of a pain as it took ages (lack of staff when i arrived)… we needed to rest badly but had to wait for like 20 mins. Lifts are very old and slow but luckily there wasn’t many guests so it wasn’t a burden. Ingeneral i think it was a good value hotel. We would come back!

We checked in to our deluxe room, and it was a horrible stay. First off, the deluxe room building is the furthest building away from the hotel, and by the time we get to our room, the view from our balcony is of a construction site and parking lot. Our room had a particularly strong vinegar smell to it, and we asked to move rooms. We were told that every deluxe room was sold out and we would be able to move rooms the next day. Next day comes around and we didn’t hear from the hotel. Every call to guest services took at least 3-5 minutes until someone answered or called back. We also came back to our hotel room unlocked, and it seemed housekeeping didn’t truly close our door when they cleaned it. On our last night, the A/C didn’t seem to work. We called guest services and the lady I spoke to told me that it was turned off for the whole hotel. When asked why or when will it be turned back on, she abruptly interrupts me and says I’m transferring you to the front desk. I waited for at least 2 minutes on the phone before someone from the front desk to answer my call, and he informs me that someone will come check our A/C. We love staying at different hotels in different countries and had no issues with other hotels in Marrakech, however, our stay at Movenpick was very underwhelming and staff didn’t seem to care at all. This has been a very awful experience, and hope that the hotel management can make a much better experience and improvement for others.

We booked for a 3 night stay for 3 people but had to manage a room for 2, for the first 2 nights. No apologies whatsoever from the hotel nor a compensation. The 2 rooms we stayed in during our stay were both badly lit; make up for nights out was a huddle cos the room was quite dark. A great highlight however is the amazing location and fresh flowers in the lobby that oozed amazing scents.

Stayed here on our recent visit to Marrakesh. Absolutely fantastic. Exceptionally clean, spacious & welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff (allowing us early check in and late check out without a hesitation). Breakfast very nice. Pool area comfortable (little small but we didn’t come by the pool - more of a bonus after a few busy days!). Location really worked for us - slightly out of medina but surrounded by great range of restaurants & shops & a real nighttime buzz!

We stayed 3 nights at Park Hyatt Marrakech in January 2025. It was the low season so the hotel was pretty quiet. Overall, the hotel was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly. There were multiple outdoor pools with comfortable lounge chairs and can see how nice they can be when the weather is slightly warmer. We didn’t have time to try the restaurant other than for breakfast but the food (esp the bbq lunch) looked good. As Globalists, we applied the Standard Suite Upgrade Award to book a Park Suite King Resort View. When we checked in, we got a slight upgrade to Park Suite King Mountain View. There wasn’t too much of a scenic view in Room 405, but we were just happy that our room was ready for an early check in at 11am after a long flight. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The bed was so comfortable! We never slept so well. The slippers they gave us were adorable. The toilet was a Toto-equivalent. Note that even though they call it a suite, it was just one large room instead of two separate rooms. That wasn’t a big deal for us since there was plenty of space to spread out, but just something to keep in mind when booking. One minor note about the bathroom: the “Aquamoon” shower had multiple showerheads for different experiences but you can only turn on one showerhead at a time without flooding. We thought our shower drain wasn’t draining properly at first but learned that it can only handle one faucet at a time. It was too bad since the multiple rainfall experiences would’ve been nice! Not sure if it was just an issue in our room or all rooms that had this shower. Some highlights of our stay: - Spa: Spa facilities were spectacular. Heated indoor pool, hot tub, wet sauna, dry sauna, cold plunge (in locker rooms), and relaxation rooms were all present. I also highly recommend booking the hamman on your first few days to feel truly relaxed. We really appreciated how they went out of their way to get us two female therapists (our gender preference) for our hamman treatment when they didn’t have to. - Housekeeping: Rooms were cleaned well and the nighttime turndown service was pleasant. Every time the room was refreshed, they also restocked the water, non-alcoholic beverages, and snacks. That was nice because sometimes at other hotels, there are different people cleaning the rooms vs restocking the food/drinks so you would have to wait for the latter. - Breakfast: While the selection was not as extensive as some other Hyatts we have been to, the food quality was quite good. You can order off the menu and take advantage of the buffet. Service was top-notch. I looked forward to breakfast everyday. The location is the biggest downside of the hotel. It is 20-30 minutes away from the city center with not much around other than a golf course. You should expect to pay 150-200 MAD each way (cash only) for a prearranged car service. Yes, you can negotiate for cheaper with taxis but often times, taxi drivers

An excellent hotel in every way. The only drawback is the location, since it is necessary to pay for taxis continuously to go and return to the city of Marrakech (250DH-350DH) each way. For the rest, personally, probably the best hotel in Marrakech, simply spectacular!
