A beautiful little riad just a short walk from the main square and local amenities. Initially, not so easy to locate, but Google maps took us straight to the door. The riad is located by walking through an area in which locals inhabit and therefore fresh meat and fish is being prepared and sold. This can be a somewhat novel experience and definitely a glimpse into local culture. Once you are familiar with the walk in and out, this is just part of the day and good to see how others live. The property itself is immaculate and provides excellent services. We were warmly welcomed and given refreshments which were gratefully received. Our room (room 1) although small, was comfortable, clean and had everything what was needed. The bathroom has plenty of surface space to house toiletries etc. The room is situated off the central patio and as it only had shutters (no glass in the windows) this can leave you a little exposed to noise from the reception/breakfast area and rooms surrounding. It would have been great to have access to tea/coffee making provisions as we usually like to make a drink before sleeping. I am sure the host would have been amenable should we have, but we did not. The courtyard is quite cold first thing in the morning and so prepare accordingly. The roof terrace is pleasant and has views across the local area. The courtyard area hosts a plentiful Moroccan breakfast, fabulously presented and tasty. Even as a ‘picky eater’ I was pleasantly satisfied. Breakfast is a selection of Moroccan style breads/crepes accompanied by local jams/soft cheese and honey. A serving of prepared fruits was served daily with a different offering of boiled egg/fresh yoghurt/ cake severed on the days of our visit. Should you have any specific dietary needs I am sure the host would accommodate, however it is worth noting that breakfast is served to you and therefore choice and quantity is not possible. We found the breakfast plentiful and the owner very accommodating. Breakfast was served with freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh coffee or mint tea. The host was super accommodating and helped us to print boarding passes (needed at Marrakesh airport) prior to our departure. We walked to and from the airport as the weather was pleasant and a little over an hour to do. The walk to the main square was around 10-15 minutes and pleasant enough as well. I would recommend this riad and could clearly see how hard the owners are working to accommodate their guests and provide an authentic experience.

Riad Aliya is just a 1-minute walk from the Saadian Tombs and 500 metres from the Royal Palace. It offers a swimming pool in the interior courtyard, a rooftop terrace and a traditional breakfast. The rooms and suites at Riad Aliya are set around the central courtyard and are decorated in a contemporary style. Each one features a seating area, air conditioning and free Wi-Fi access. The hosts can prepare Moroccan meals for both lunch and dinner if you reserve in advance. They can also arrange for you to dine at Chez Ali Restaurant and watch the fantasia show. The staff at the 24-hour reception can also organise camel rides, airport transfers and scooter rental. A hammam and massages are available with an extra cost. The riad is ideally located a 15-minute walk from Jamaâ el Fna Square and a 10-minute drive from Marrakesh-Menara Airport.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Riad Fatouma in Marrakesh. The Riad is very well located and around a 10-15 minute walk to the main square, as well as other attractions and on the way there are several shops and restaurants with plenty of choice. We arrived late on the first night, but we were greeted by Iheb, who was excellent. He helped us throughout the stay, pointing out his recommendations for where we should visit and things to do. Iheb was kind and very friendly and was always happy to talk to us at anytime! The Riad was clean and tidy, and for the price has everything you need - but you’re probably hardly going to be in the room as there is so much to see in Marrakesh! Couldn’t fault this place, and Iheb made the stay so much better! Iheb also gave us his contact details and said we could message/call him at any time if we needed anything which was so helpful too! Check out was at 12:00 but we didn’t fly home until 17:00, and we could easily leave our luggage behind reception. The Riad is also secure with a large metal gate which is locked, and rooms are incredibly spacious. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a comfortable room with great hospitality!

This is one of the best places I have stayed and I recommend it wholeheartedly. I travelled to Marrakech for three nights with my daughter in July and we shared the most beautiful double room. The decor of the hotel is absolutely stunning; authentic handprinted ceilings, gorgeous tiling and just the loveliest ambience of relaxation and comfort. Everything about our stay was first class; all the staff were smiling, kind and helpful and made us feel so at home from the moment we arrived. We felt as if nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated and an absolute oasis after sightseeing in the heat of the day. We had breakfast included each morning at the hotel and it was delicious and on our last morning, they organised for us to have our full breakfast extra early before leaving for our flight, which was so thoughtful. We also both had a massage in the spa which was fabulous. We could have stayed longer here for definite and were sorry to leave, but if we came back to Marrakech again, and I would love to, we would most definitely stay here.

This venue is a must be. 100% recommendation. From the slightly bland outside and journey to front door belies the beautiful and exquisite riad inside. It is absolutely amazing and tastefully decorated inside. Service is exceptional and a big shout out goes to Yousef. He is an asset to the owner and nothing is too small for him to sort out and do. Breakfast is amazing with a large assortment. We had evening meal there and tasted great. Rooms are lovely and a pleasure to stay in. Location is great for excursions and walk arounds. If you want an amazing place to stay and a true Moroccan experience. Book now to avoid disappointment

Was a bit tricky to find especially with a car. The roads are super narrow in the Kasbah. Note there is no parking at the Road but a public secure parking a short 5 minute walk. Once we found it, it was easy to get around. Nice location. Close to the palace and tombs and souk. Rooms are adequately sized for two people. It’s dated but nicely finished. The whole Riad is very clean and well looked after. Rooftop has sitting place to chill. Didn’t see the public bath they advertise. Staff were so helpful from getting me to the parking spot, the ladies that make breakfast are super, Always fresh, plentiful and a variety that changed every day. Moha is very helpful and check in was quick and easy. He is great with information about the area and where to eat etc. There are restaurants and coffee shops open during Ramadan all in 5-10 mins walking distance. Would stay there again gladly.

My mother-in-law, daughter and I stayed at the Riad Daria Suites & Spa on our recent trip to Marrakech. Although we often travel, we had never been to Morocco before this trip, and it was truly a joy. The Daria is in the ancient walled city, which was maze-like and initially a little imposing. But we were greeted at the Daria by a kind, beautiful young woman named Mariam who instantly put us at ease. She gave us a tour of the Riad, and sat with us as she served us mint tea and cookies in the courtyard garden, and answered all of our questions. We soon soon felt relaxed, like we were family, and were at home (assuming, of course that our home was an ancient castle.) The rooms were large and clean and graced with beautiful tiles, and artifacts, yet all necessary modern amenities were at our fingertips. And the food! I intentionally ordered lemon olive chicken tagine every day, and I am still trying to copy the recipe, to no avail. But the most wonderful aspect of our stay, was the people. Ysama (I am uncertain how to spell his name, and for this I apologize) became our unofficial guide through the City, and he was a gem. In fact, a piece of my luggage broke during my stay, and Ysama drove his motorbike in to the City square, took pictures of varying pieces of luggage, purchased the piece I selected, and brought it back to me. I cannot say enough about this wonderful hotel, and the people that work in it. I only know that I will be going back to Morocco, and I will be staying at the Riad Daria Suites and Spa. Do yourself a favor. Go!
